DA, but I’m assuming they’re referring to ShriekingMagpie. I don’t think there’s been anything to confirm they’re the same person, but there is some compelling evidence for it -

ShriekingMagpie did get banned shortly after becoming active again, but given at least one of their skins was clearly based on their transphobic fetish OC and the shop cleared, it may not have been because of being an RK alt. Personally, I’m leaning toward them being the same person or somehow connected though. Just too many coincidences.

No salt on you in particular, I've just never understood the logic behind complaints like this and I'm curious. If a given gene is appealing enough to you that you're complaining it's too expensive to buy and put on your dragons, it seems odd to say in the same breath that it's way too mediocre to be a gem gene.

I honestly think a lot of them are "It's so good and I want it, but I don't want to pay gems."

Sometimes a gene just doesn't feel "worth it" for X price, but would be a must-buy at a lower one. This is especially true for gem genes where there's a real dollar value assigned to them. 2700g is roughly $25, which is potentially two hours of work. Is that worth it? Personal value assessment there. Treasure genes are a lot of the time easier to "justify" because treasure is so readily available on the site.
(This is a general observation btw, not specifically my own opinion. I don't really have a horse in this race one way or the other.)

The way I've always seen it is that if you can afford yourself, are being realistic about what you can/cannot afford and it doesn't grow into an addiction, there's nothing wrong with giving yourself a little treat while also supporting a game you enjoy.
I mean hell, if I put up with my job I sometimes wanna reward myself a little for it, you know? And while FR and its staff may not be perfect I appreciate them for making the game and being open-minded and anti-crunch. I'm happy to throw them a few bucks for some gems every once in a while.
