For context because I know this 100% biases my view: I am an active earth dom person.

Anyways: I'm a bit mad Nature just decided to waltz in and do a conquest when earth and water were double profit pushing, and earth was planning to get discounts for warriors way. I'm double mad that water decided to allow it without even asking us if we'd be ok with it. I hope earth gets on 1st just outta spite (and it's not like nature had to compromise with someone, there was a free week with no one conquesting or profit pushing)

Uh... Droplet here, and I don't think we allowed it as much as there really isn't a way to stop them from doing it without causing stupid bullshit drama. Profit pushes do not mean someone can't conquest by custom. No one even has to ask before scheduling. Most of us found out from Dom Watch.

All we can do is just keep going. Just like water couldn't stop lightning from conquest pushing during our annual pumpkin push last year that was labelled a profit push.(People bitched at us for even daring to complain because it was labeled a profit push.) Blame Nature, don't blame us. We didn't ask for this, and it's annoying to have some third party hopping in to crash the party.

Reality is, with the ratios and whatnot, if Earth and Water are actively pushing, Nature isn't winning without draining their wallets. And with Warrior's way due, I don't think even then. (Also, I wasn't really expecting to beat you guys this time. This is a friendly competition, not something to go scorched earth the AH for again.)

I'm honestly betting they were hoping to cruise in and steamroll the profit pushes for Warrior's way. (Also, I'm pretty sure there's conquests all the way through. This was the only week without a conquest.)

Nature asked first if they could conquest on our week, which water allowed without asking us, so if they just said "hold on let me ask the earth dom heads", we could have at least discussed it. It's why I'm double mad at water, since while I think Nature was a bit ??? to sweep in without at least asking us, it is very likely they assumed water asked us and was ok with it

nobody /needs/ to ask permission to push though, its just a formality and frankly this makes nature look better. seriously what did you expect here, for earth dom leads to say "no, go away" if they had the chance?

earth gets dom at least once every month, half the time when some other flight is pushing, and now you're throwing a temper tantrum that you didn't get it one week and no one told you? lol, i can only repeat what some players from earth tell me, someone from a big flight, when i complain about dom disbalance - git gud.

seriously, I understand being annoyed at the preplanned event crashing, but if Earth actively exalting and pushing, there's no way nature is taking top spot anyways.

The fact that this player is so fixated on it as if they are likely to lose. Dom watch doesn't mention a raffle or PB from nature... There's no way to profit off nature, so Earth will exalt themselves as usual.

Also, really kind of hoping the new shop stuff brings a new currency system that doesn't get the dom discounts, so that getting dom for Warrior's way and NotN is not a source of extra profit.

I know there's a hate boner for earth (or whatever top dom flight is at the era), but comments like this are weird as hell to me. Earth only gets placements left over, which is broken don't get me wrong, but we're not trying to sweep in and claim spots from others. We don't steal first places, if dom imbalance ever pull us up, we make sure to support the other flights. So all our first places were the ones we snagged a week for it.

We wanted to try and snag first place discounts (or second if water comes first. Thatd be super fun ngl, a mini wve) for warriors way stuff, and we had planned this since january, alongside all other first places. To have someone else just drop in is super annoying, especially when Earth has to be hyper aware of anything we do because any sort of complaint or wrong move get people to tell us to shut up and that since dom is favored to us we're just being whiny. It sucks!

Yo i'm genuinely not trying to be a dick but i think some of the pushback comes from the tone of this and other posts in this thread reading as a little entitled like....

Just because you've been planning something since january doesn't mean its guarenteed to happed that's just... Part of the dom game. Other flights are allowed to try to get WW discounts, too. It's a _courtesy_ to preplan things extensively but not a solid requirement

you're doing. profit pushes. for profit. why does it matter if you don't get top spot?
why is it so terrible for nature, who... fuck i can't remember there was a conquest push that wasn't for greenskeeper or nature v. plague. wasn't nature v. arcane literally years ago.

if this is honest to god what earth folks are like—not just passionate about pushing for dom but mad at the idea of possibly losing out on profits to a flight that rarely tries for the spotlight—then that's so goddamn toxic.

its genuinely so baffling to me how so many so-called dom players dont understand how profit pushes work. im from a flight that profit pushes almost every month and its supposed to be a fun/profitable/team-building thing that i genuinely enjoy doing regardless of how hard i go.

maybe im just bitter because ive experienced that "lol just exalt more" mentality from earth players but i can't interpret AYRT as anything other than wildly entitled. kinda sounds like some earth players just consider all their profit pushes conquests considering how easy it is.

yeah I don't get it either. a conquest right now seems like a waste of money for Nature but I don't see how they are doing something wrong. good for them if they have the money to do so

Same anon as op: our plan was to profit push to get warriors way discounts of first place. Earth's profit pushes are more structured as conquests than anything. We just called it a profit push because we wanted to play and have events with water too because it'd be fun

As a pebble (who hasn't posted yet about this), I was more interested in seeing how a non-high stake fight between water and earth would play out. That's what I was disappointed about, especially because of all the events the dom heads had planned. With Nature having (was going to have??? Is it really canceled??) a PB, people (such as myself) will definitely give to them for the $$$ instead of exalting if the price is good enough. However, I like money and am not a typical pebble who treats profit pushing... as profit pushing instead of a conquest.

((Unpopular opinion, but I was fully expecting Water to win just because of how dedicated they are. I don't know how "loyal" earth players are, especially transfers like who are here for a vacation))

As a fellow pebble, I find it exciting! I miss the old days when impromptu dom battles were a thing, so this is fun for me. And if there's anyone who can win this, it's us. We just have to, as others have said, git gud.

Nature's push is canceled because the dom team is spread too thin as like. human beings.

I'm honestly kind of disappointed—not that we're not pushing this week specifically (though obviously it would have been a bloodbath at best), but that we apparently don't have enough people to properly organize a push to begin with. We've got the prize resources, seemingly, but not the people ones.

Hopefully we can get a little more transparency on how to get involved in the dom team so ...idk, I'd like to join up and help out, myself!
Right now I feel like if you're not ALREADY involved it's frustratingly opaque, but I digress. Not sure if it's different for other flights, but I've been Nature since FR year 1 and never haven't felt this way about our dom. Granted, we're like an entire flight made up of "mom friends," though, so I guess I have long since ceased being surprised that we're not exactly a dom powerhouse.

It depends on the flight. Some are open and eager for new folks to join and help, some are insular shitshows.

I'm op complaining about the nature thing but it was more about me being annoying at the moment and not a super big deal (I was actually getting over it LOL i was just too cranky). For sure did not want anything bad on the nature team god. I hope the dom heads are fine. Health and real life should always come before a petsite.

I hope you guys get organized soon :( maybe talk to your dom heads and ask about having more players join in the future? especially those who were involved in events and help out a lot.

Whenever I hear about how other flights' dom teams function I'm thankful to be a droplet 😅 They make it super easy to get involved and anyone can run a fundraiser or push event or whatever
