Nature asked first if they could conquest on our week, which water allowed without asking us, so if they just said "hold on let me ask the earth dom heads", we could have at least discussed it. It's why I'm double mad at water, since while I think Nature was a bit ??? to sweep in without at least asking us, it is very likely they assumed water asked us and was ok with it
nobody /needs/ to ask permission to push though, its just a formality and frankly this makes nature look better. seriously what did you expect here, for earth dom leads to say "no, go away" if they had the chance?
I'd like for earth to at least have a chance in discussing about it, even if we couldn't stop nature (it being a dick move, scheduling, etc), to at least talk about it with them, which I feel its not a big thing to ask? Especially because we've planned on all our first place positions for the year in january, and there was a free week for nature to conquest (which also makes me wonder on why Natured joined a double profit thing instead of the free week, I've heard of other flights doing it but it doesn't end up well. I guess to buy our fodder?)

No, thats just me being lazy and not wanting to type "planning the pushes we can actually grab first place in" all the time. Though some were just uncontested pushes with no one around so I guess its a guaranteed first place anyways? Lol
so you'd say that to you/the dom leads, the upcoming push is a conquest as youve planned it around getting first? a profit push's primary goal is about making profit, not getting first place. im still failing to understand why another flight pushing during a profit push is a big deal, unless if you're using this "profit" push with the intention of getting first place.
I may word things weirdly, english is not my first language: while our profit pushes are still mostly for money (otherwise we'd just straight up do a conquest), there's still the goal of getting to first place for discounts, and the structure itself is a bit more like a conquest one (that's mostly due to the dom culture here than anything). So we saw the upcoming one as a more friendly WvE, since we wanted to get a bit competitive but still have fun and do events with Water.
Earth plans the actual dom weeks we're "allowed" to go for 1st, if that makes sense. Everything else it's "we can grab any of the left over positions but nothing more", so this event was one of the few times we were hyping up to grab 1st. I think it's a mix of that + the fact there was a free week nature could snag and get 1st place for cheaper even that leaves a bad taste in my mouth.
Dom used to be a tightly guarded secret, planned in locked channels in IRC/Skype/Discord, because back in the day you could just buy dom with tons and tons of level ones- adults AND hatchlings.
This whole having to ask permission is bs, honestly. If we were really working on a permission based, turns taking system, dominance wouldn't be a thing, it'd just be a rotating buff.
