If they're threatening to end themselves then they need to step back from whatever sources of stress they're dealing with and find another hobby since whatever is happening now isn't working out for them. Sorry if I'm coming off as an asshole for saying that, but I really do think they need to take a breather.

I sympathize with the user. They should step back, but that doesn't stop people from openly harassing them against their wishes. I looked into their post history, saw they made a suggestion that they wanted settings to limit how people interact with them privately, and in that thread there's a person who literally came out of the woodworks explicitly to harass them (https://i.gyazo.com/51a1521706c6e2bebc7c1a99d7b37da3.png). They DO step away when things get too stressful in threads (and openly say so (https://i.gyazo.com/4acf33525134c4443ab7e23719b65e2a.png)), so they DO try, but it's evident that people are very happy to seek them out to harass and whatever reaction they have in the moment is 100% understandable even if irrational.

Dako even apologized and edited posts for being too aggressive on a few occasions, so they're not completely at fault and recognize when they're being overly reactionary.

On one hand it's absolutely assinine for that one user to set out and harass them just because they think it's fun. That's horrible! Fuck that guy! Draggo wasn't even trying to target anyone, they were just giving honest feedback that could benefit quite a few people. I do wonder what their original post said before they edited it though because it seemed to catch the wrong attention. (not an excuse for people to harass them, of course)

On the other hand, you unfortunately can't control what people do to you especially in a site like FR that was built with being a little social in mind and doesn't have all measures against socializing. (Yet, we can hope) When I say to 'step back' I mean get off a social game, period. It is possible to be completely fenced off from people in this game, but when you interact with the forums and make your name known out there it kind of puts a target on your back. I DO NOT agree with people going against their wishes and interacting with them, of course, but the more often you put yourself out there the more likely you'll come across someone who has ill will, or merely someone who doesn't pay attention to signatures or profiles and will unintentionally interact with the anti-social user.

If this becomes so much of a big deal that you'll have a major panic attack over one interaction and it keeps happening, and you keep editing your comments...just. Step away from Flight rising until they have implements for people not being able to interact with you, period. Again, I don't agree with people interacting with them especially for the sake of triggering them, but at the end of the day their mental health is their responsibility and you can't count on anyone else to do their part to ensure it for you. :(

No one should harass them. That is reasonable.

But I have issue with a person on a social site that knowingly and deliberately acts in a way that upsets other players and hides behind a claim that anyone daring to contact them is harassing them. (And that faq tells me they know it). They want to profit from others without consequences.

They're on my block list, however, because I feel the best solution to a player like this is to block them and encourage anyone that doesn't want to deal with those antics to block them as well. Hopefully it gets them the social interaction free experience they want.

Seems like they changed their profile, but in the first screenshot, it's the last sentence that's suggesting it.

They're shitty and manipulative. There is no situation where being spoke to or criticized justifies putting a threat to kill yourself on your profile.

I'm guessing it got reported to staff.

man.. i am a skin artist, so a little interaction here and there is reasonable, but i swear i have never in seven years on this site received unsolicited interaction that was egregious enough that i had to make multiple forum posts, an extremely rude faq, bio warning, etc etc etc demanding people didn’t contact me? i feel like if you just keep your head down and don’t talk, there’s a pretty good chance nobody cares about your fr existence. i don’t think people should harass them, but come on?? i was rarely if ever bothered by people before i started making art/accents, and the approach they take is just guaranteed to provoke people.
