AYRT 'After reviewing the nature of your appeal, we are making the decision to re-open your account, without prejudice' is the what they responded with (along with an apology for taking so long, apparently they're getting 200+ account recovery messages a week atm)
Doesn't sound like a temp ban or a 'final warning' to me. I can understand why it feels squicky, but 'I'll front you the money to make a small profit so that I can make a big one' isn't bad faith trading. Maybe they could have been clearer that they would benefit more, but it's not like the people participating didn't benefit.
The issue is, I don't know the nature of the appeal they used. Did they post that anywhere? Because if it was something like "I didn't realize it would be seen as sketchy and I won't do it again." I could see this as being a fair response.(Especially if it was originally a permababy)
And I could see some being dumbass enough to not realize.
Turns out they were banned for multi-accounting, which tracks with the 'account returned without prejudice'. i.e. some idiots decided to reportbomb them for the thing most likely to get an account locked instead of the thing they were actually doing wrong. so. ofc they got their account back.
From what I've heard they know why people were pissed (and tbf the story I heard didn't include that they were hiding that they were going to make a bigger profit, so I understand the reaction more now) and aren't likely to mislead people again.
Yea. They painted as they were doing newbies a great favor when they were reselling them for like 100 gems profit without the poor newbies knowing.
FFS, report people for what they're doing wrong, not as a multi. They might have a strike on their account if they did. I don't think it was ever permaban worthy. Just wanted them to stop scamming people.
A new player that has someone do that to them, that could chase them off the site entirely.
