I didn't know that but it makes sense from a safeguarding perspective. (...?) This is a 13+ game even though lots of adults play, too. Predators could seek younger flights to groom those members. I don't know, though. The opposite argument could be made that everyone knowing everyone else's age mitigates harm, accidental or not. And it's not like most people don't share their ages, gender, and country anyway, so I don't see a problem with compiling the data. Just thinking out loud, though.

+ Also, a predator could just as easily like about their age if it benefited them.

As far as I know, polling for age and gender/sex was never allowed. Been here a while and seen plenty of polls shut down.

Staff has even edited posts about folks looking for birthdate ID dragons because it discloses actual age.

Not sure when they started doing that, but I know it wasn't a thing when the site started- not explicitly, anyway.

They started doing it back in 2015-2016 when birthdate dragons started becoming popular because IDs were starting to hit the 19-20 million range.
