You don’t have to claim it once completed though - so theoretically you can complete all plots but not claim the other items, do claim the genes, and then just reset the gene plots and start over. All your dig turns would be used on the now empty gene plots. Rinse and repeat. I’ll be curious to see if this becomes a common gene farming method and how it affects prices, but I guess it depends how popular these genes actually end up being and if it’s even worth it. The scene or apparel could be more desirable for all I know (but same method applies to farm any specific plot.)
I should add I’m basing this off things I’ve read so far. I do have one plot I just completed but haven’t claimed yet, and I used my last magnifying glass to unlock it, so I guess I’ll see tomorrow if I’m able to keep digging the other plots while having an unlocked but unclaimed plot.
DA Yeah, because of a thread in Suggestions, I finished up one plot, and everything but the share notes things was 'greyed out' for me, until I claimed the prize from the one plot.
I waited until this morning, and same deal, no ability to move on until I claimed the prize (which I had waited to do until this morning to see if it 'reset' at some point so I could do further work).
So yeah, really disappointed in that, because it means you are 'wasting' pickaxes on items you already have, and potentially dn't want.
