All this talk about who wants what out of Dom, and knowing that the staff have it on their list of things to rework, do you think the Dom of today will ever change into something truly different? Worse? Better?

Looking at suggestions forum, there have been ideas that, while perhaps doesn't fix all dom, but at least fixes parts of it, so I think it could be improved. Will staff, notorious for not playing the game themselves, pick the good suggestions is entirely another question that doesn't fill me with hope.
I am a huge, huge proponent of 'individual' dom suggestions - exalt shops, player in-flight rankings, etc - because I believe that then I won't have to choose between wanting to be in a flight I love and getting any dom rewards (my flight is not that good at dom while I personally usually get into top 20 raffle senders in most OOF raffles I take part in).

I think they know there is need for some kind of shake up there, but their priority is finishing the refactor and adding new features to keep player interest.
The player base is still happily battling in king of the hill so it's not unusable as is. It just needs some minor retooling to counteract some gaming of the flight size mechanics by smaller flights.(Not just Earth. The fact that a larger flight is as much at a disadvantage as it is not exactly great design.)

We'll have to see how NvP shakes out, because Plague is one of the largest flights on the site and they clearly have no trouble placing frequently. That's different than actually winning battles, though.
If they do make size matter less it'll be interesting to see what happens to Fire. Like, Water and Earth will probably be fine but Fire seems to rely more heavily on being small to place/battle.
