ADDENDUM TO RULE THREE (3): Because I do NOT want another instance of shit that happened this month, and the shit that happened in @anonrising, Fandom Politics are NOT ALLOWED. This includes, but is not limited to:

•         Anti/Proshipping war bullshit      

*These subjects almost inevitably bring up Anti/Proship bullshit and there are folks on both sides who might be triggered by certain content, or feel dismissed by various argument points on both sides. As a result, THEY ARE  NOT ALLOWED. This site is for DRAGON DRAMA, not your Pro/Anti shipping bullshit. Take it to fandomwank or fandom_secrets or whatever other platform they're using nowadays.

god I was sitting there like, "why does this feel so weirdly sexual" and it was only after saying to myself, "If this was an adult human, would it feel sexual?" and realizing "yes, yes it would," that I was able to reconcile it.

it seems kinda off and random, but I hope that means we get a cat, bird and snake vista too, maybe even a bunny etc. mirroring the pets our dragons can have as apparel

dog butt aside, this is a pretty lackluster update... 3 new vistas and 1 scene? this stuff used to be put at the end of larger, proper updates

yeah they really turned down on the update content hard the last months
what we got so far this year was this, 3 bad apparel recolours, ancient genes, and ice festival. i wonder if that's just because of a bigger update in the pipelines (map update?) or if it's the new trend.

if it had been at a different angle with the corgi shown face-first or from the side instead of having the view framed around showing the butt it would've been cute, but as it is... no thanks

And I'm probably in minority but I hate it because what corgis have to do with FR, besides that Undel has one (I think). And it's a gem vista, so might as well call it 'blatant cashgrab'. Ffs, they didn't even bother drawing any of FR's own familiars in that pose, that would at least fit...

there are those flying corgi fams with wings that we once had in a colouring contest but yeah, Undel owns a corgi and that's like the only reason
but I don't like corgis from the beginning soooo I am biased.

I thought it was because Wind had made corgis their mascot and it was FR acknowledging the community but now I realize that may have been reading too much into it

I think the vista is cute, but (get ready for the nittiest of nitpicks) the corgi on the vista doesn’t look exactly right to me. It feels like some proportion is off (probably the paws?). The corgi familiars bother me in a similar way. I always felt they were a little like, stiff feeling?
At the end of the day tho they still get across that they’re supposed to be are corgis tho, which is what matters most.

which is hilarious because Undel HAS a corgi. So I'm guessing she didn't draw this.

the shadows of the hips make the "buttcheeks" of the corgi super pronounced, where if you look at actual corgis splooting there really shouldn't be a shadow differentiating between the trunk of the body to the legs so harshly to make that illusion

or maybe it's just me lol

I went and painted over the parts that I think was giving me pause, in the end it was mostly the thickness of the paws and a bit of the expression.


(Disclaimer that I think the original art is still good, not to mention the dwarf hainu art is a bit old by now as well)
