ADDENDUM TO RULE THREE (3): Because I do NOT want another instance of shit that happened this month, and the shit that happened in @anonrising, Fandom Politics are NOT ALLOWED. This includes, but is not limited to:

•          Anime
•          Fanfiction/Fanart 
•         Anti/Proshipping war bullshit      

*These subjects almost inevitably bring up Anti/Proship bullshit and there are folks on both sides who might be triggered by certain content, or feel dismissed by various argument points on both sides. As a result, THEY ARE  NOT ALLOWED. This site is for DRAGON DRAMA, not your Pro/Anti shipping bullshit. Take it to fandomwank or fandom_secrets or whatever other platform they're using nowadays.

I mean I started playing in 2013 and I remember better times, esp before registration got permanently opened. inevitable, but i still hate that.

it mightve gone to shit in 2014 then :x i just feel like there has like, always been arguments about petty shit? like i don't remember a time when there wasn't at least one person pitching a fit over some small things in the updates and people on this anoncomm or DR complaining about that person (the thing that jumps to mind is the Great Trypophobia Wars from like. idk 2016 or something). i guess maybe there are more now?
i took a break from the forums and stuff around the time of open reg so i can't really speak to the direct culture shift; i do feel like its a fair assumption that open reg has the potential to allow in more jerks, since you don't need to be committed to the site per se to make an account now. on the other hand i feel like theres a pretty equal amount of whining from old farts like us who remember the Good Ol Days when the site was Fun and Shiny and New yknow

I think that more people are active and more players are joining because of the pandemic. People have more free time and need to stay inside, so games are an obvious option. This does mean there are more people with wayyyy too much free time getting mad at inconsequential shit, though. The turnaround time for new drama has been shortened significantly lately, IMO.
