Possibly they have a lot of dragons whose poses don't match their pronouns and aren't interested in getting smacked in the face with dysphoria every time they have to go through and change them?
When I read replies like this I want to send money to the ARR mods as compensation
that running cirrus animation is rly well animated but im losing my mind bc op is like oh they have more horse anatomy in the front and canid in the back thats why it looks disjointed :) no it looks disjointed bc you have done two different levels of extension in the gait in the front vs the back and also no?? they do look way way more horselike in the back legs what are you talking abt
The artist purposely drew hooves in the front and paws in the back. It's a change from the default design.
I like how it looks. I mean the animation is very wolf like but I can see what they were trying for.
The cirrus don't seem to have have sesamoid bones or pasterns so their feet aren't very horse shaped. The dewclaw looks like it was an attempt to make up for that but it's really not helping.

I can also see what they’re going for I just don’t think it works bc you have two ends that are obvs going at different stride never mind the anatomical difference? (Also the extension being the all feet off ground moment is just uncanny to me tbh)
The cirrus legs way more horse shaped than canid and then stylized I don’t see how the feet change that the hindquarters and bone proportions in the legs are like that

did OP edit their post? I just went and looked and it seems they acknowledge it needs more edits and they were just confused a bit
tbf animating horses/horse-like animals is like famously hard.
like it's a running (pun intended) joke in the larger animation community that animating horses is a Challenge.

Can someone translate this please
Are you pisces?
This, Japanese people sometimes romanize Rs as Ls themselves.
Can anyone explain why the dragon was racist and who asked for the change? I'm so confused.
It's all laid out in the post.
>This divine beast is present in multiple cultures in east and southeast Asia, originating in China (qilin) before being shared across Korea (girin), Japan (kirin), Thailand (gilen), Vietnam (ky lân), and beyond. Our team pulled their initial references from several different depictions of the girin over time and cultures, including depictions of these mythical beasts with draconic features.
>When we were close to the initial release date, the finalized designs were brought to the wider team. Concerns were raised regarding established player feedback on Wind and harmful stereotypes. Questions were asked, answers were given, and then we sought out cultural consultation on both the design and the lore.

To be more specific, staff cited that Wind flight has suffered from the "far east trope" in the past, combining a bunch of elements and themes from different cultures with no regard for what they mean or where they're from (which, if you're still confused, it's disrespectful to act like all asian cultures are interchangeable). So the solution they chose was to reference one specific myth in the dragon design.
What animation? I've looked and have no idea what y'all are talking about.
Context please, this ain't SMR

99% of the time, the context is FRD, including this time. Did you try looking in the most obvious place where people might be soliciting discussion of their art of the new breed?
hey piss off with this attitude anon. there is a reason why people ask for links and archives. don't show up to someone's house and act like an ass when asked to respect house rules
The bones and ligaments in a horse's feet really affect how it strides, and how the feet and legs absorb the impact of the ground. Lengthening the bone proportions of a wolf wouldn't necessarily change its stride into a horse canter. Maned wolf legs have close to the same proportions as a cirrus. Looking at a blurry video of one running, I think the maned wolf stride looks like some kind of mix between a horse, wolf, and cheetah.

Do you have a translation you'd recommend? I grabbed the Emily Wilson one just because I'm not a classicist + I've never taken a class, and I heard that one is very understandable for the layperson, but I'd be curious to see what you'd recommend! #Sincere

I think you're seeing what you want to see (that the poster is "bad", therefore "antiwoke" too) - I have over two hundred fully finished and totally perfect for me dragons that have no deeper meaning than 'this is a pretty PNG' and if suddenly there was a box in their profiles that shows something I did not choose to do yet I am forced to make up (say, pick a pronoun for what amounts to a wallpaper for me), I'd be very unhappy too.
Were you also "very unhappy" when we got the ability to name familiars and the game put a gun to your head and forced you to make sure each dragon had a familiar with a name? Or are you irrationally irritated about anything adjacent to pronouns?
No one would be "forcing" you to "make up" anything. You could, in fact, leave it alone.

Not the nonny you asked, but the Robert Fagles (Penguin Classics) editions of the Iliad and the Oddessy are both very readable and accessible.
Adding or not a familiar is optional, and if you do not add a familiar, that box is fully empty - and that's why I do not add familiars to my dragons: the familiars appear pasted into the dragon/scene combination and that looks ugly to me. Pronouns in profiles or summary boxes as the suggestion mentions (because I, unlike apparently you, read the suggestion instead of reacting to a random quote) are your headcanons which my dragons do not have because they are pretty PNGs and not living human beings. Hence being against specific pronoun boxes in a dragon PNG profile has nothing to do with pronouns themselves. All of this you could have read yourself as most of the replies both for and against in that suggestion thread mention multiple visual/technical points, but you decided to irrationally stick to the "evil antiwoke" image you created. What's next on the menu, exalting is killing?
