It's not that it's red, it's not even 'red' per se; it very distinctly looks like nasty hanging flesh and cannot really be mistaken as anything else. Plenty of red skins have gotten through the queue just fine. I can see why this was denied. I'd say if they're that adamant about having a 'plague' colorway they could try to go more brown like the tendrils in the rest of plague's site art, like on the world map or plague fest items, and make the mechanical parts match the other colorways. Or just straight up make it match the other colorways with the black/dark mechanical bits and bright neon red accents where it's teal and green on the others?
The other colors don't really look like hanging flesh and aren't meat colored, hence probably why they passed. I'm not entirely sure what the artist was expecting tbh submitting it like that. Considering this isn't the first time they've had issues with flesh colors appearing like wounds/torn flesh they should probably ask some friends/others 'hey does this look too much like meat?' before submitting it, might save some headache beforehand.
