Guess she's waiting. I didn't scry her pre fix. Jester looks so good as is in violet, but I don't want to waste gems if they revert and I don't like it.
As someone who's had that before it's because people repeatedly would pick my literal fodder dragons because I kept a lot of my main dragons in my hibden. I'd even go as far to link the hibden or say that they were there and people would still not read and it got to be really annoying and not fun to play the forum games so I'd just block people who didn't take the time to actually read what I had said. I put the warning there to deter people further. It might not be that serious but when it happens over and over again it's not really fun to play the forum game, you know?
I would assume that people picking dragons from obvious fodder tabs are not likely to read people’s warnings, nonny.

clear (respectful) warnings work pretty well on all angles: people will either listen and not do the thing so they don't receive a consequence they find importance in, avoid responding to them meaning one less person who will do the thing the warning party doesn't want, or won't listen/care/read and the warning party gives out an easy block to avoid someone they expressed not wanting to interact with. another option is that a person reads the warning, doesn't want to deal with someone who writes something like that, and blocks the warning party; that ultimately still benefits the warning party by removing someone they likely don't want to interact with anyway if the boundary was the issue.

After awhile people just get tired of users just blatantly ignoring them asking for some dragons not being picked. Some people go to those forum games to feel better after a shit day or just want a little pick-me-up from some compliments on their dragons so having fodder dragons chosen is a real bummer. It's pretty annoying when you've warned people multiple times not to pick certain dragons so after awhile it's just easier to block and move on.
I do think it's pretty comical to word it like you said in your post. I don't think I've seen it like that myself? Usually just "Do not pick for forum games" or "Not for forum games" or something like that

FR has REALLY really been in a content drought because holy shit. Without the expected tiny additions you get from the expected festivals there has been hardly any new content.

Moth capes are p hype, new familiars for Kelp Beds are also hype, and they added a ton more breeding achievements for genes. That's a pretty active drought to me. What are you kvetching about, exactly?
Moth capes aren't an entire set. We're not getting heavy set drops like silks, tea set, and such anymore. Not to mention the lack of things to spend treasure with on modern breeds.
I think the consequence of people wanting more modern breeds in the future is going to be that we get less/smaller apparel pieces overall. I personally would be happy with no more moderns and more apparel for the ones we have, but I think I’m in the minority there.
Would love to see some new modern genes though, even if it’s just ports of ancient ones.
There’s talk we may be up for a new ancient soon though, so that may be a big update to look forward too, but that won’t really satisfy people wanting modern content.

iirc undel said that we won't be getting new ancients until 2025. which is honestly a good thing because all the recent ancients came out super underbaked so i'm all for them being more in development
AYRT No, they're not a full set, but they're colorful and cute - same with the jars. The sets you mentioned came out years apart from each other. If you're truly lamenting the lack of things to spend your treasure on, then take it as an excuse to save up when the next big apparel set updates hit! Not everything on this site can be high octane, all the time.
I’m fine waiting, but I can’t find anything from staff confirming or denying upcoming ancient releases. I think all they’ve really confirmed is that the next ones will be Wind and Light.
Also I’ll be honest, but I don’t think Dusthides were ‘underbaked’. I think they just didn’t appeal to a lot of people, but that was going to happen whether there was a big gap between releeaes or not.

It has a pretty dedicated playerbase, but there's been some discontent for a number of years. There's a long thread (now locked due to post limit) that was posted in February this year discussing a lot of the grievances users had with the site, which unfortunately you need a minimum 3-day old account (unless you wanna cough up 10 bucks to upgrade) to view the forums, but there's this google doc that covers the initial topics.

Now here in October, there's been a handful of improvements. We have a dev log now and... profile tabs? I'll be honest I haven't been keeping up until pretty recently specifically because the annual October event Monster Masquerade is here! Kinda! The team mascots are here (and don't get me started on the storm of how the mascots were decided this year), but the associated box with bonus dolls still hasn't been implemented. Neither is the limited time explore area. The team events took a few days to all open up. Admittedly, I haven't been around for Monster Masquerade for a few years, but from what I've heard its abnormal for things to be this late.
And there's a non-zero chance the reason for this is because the site owner, Krisgoat, has an entire VTuber sidegig. This was discussed at length in the dedicated salt blog, goatlingsvent.tumblr.com, but the information has now been compiled over on another blog.

Okay? What's so bad about having a vtuber side gig? People are allowed to have fun? This sounds kinda petty.
Sure, the pay is shit for the artists, but it sounds more like they're doing this as a passion project job rather than an actual job-job.
That's just my take on it.

Not a bad thing at all to have a side gig. But after getting practically nothing in major improvements to the site for years despite the many opportunities players get to financially support the site, it feels weird. Plus, the post linked makes mention of Krisgoat saying her current setup doesn't allow her to do much when it comes to streaming to fundraise for Palestine, but the existence of her VTuber side gig flies in the face of that. The community on Goatlings is just generally exasperated by the lack of transparency in what goes where financially. If Goatlings was getting the bare minimum regular updates on time, I genuinely would not care about her getting freaky on Roblox or whatever. But the site feels so... stagnant. And she's off doing fuck all or whatever.

i admit that i fucked up and somehow misremembered undel's comment about there not being a wind ancient for mistjam as there not being new ancients until 2025. though honestly i still woudn't mind if they waited at least the two extra months, considering that they just now released fixed lore for auras and we still don't have a story for dusthides
