That moment in the aftermath when you realize just how much money you spent on an auction to make sure someone else didn't get a dragon.
Ah well. It's a very pretty dragon.

if this is about that XYY oilslick beige I'm gonna holler because I was just looking at that auction and how the hell did it get to 100kG lmao
It's not that one. An auction with someone that thinks it's great to do bids of 420 and 69.
Ideally we'd all evenly distribute ourselves across multiple different image hosting sites, so that when one inevitably kicks the (photo)bucket, it doesn't endanger 90% of internet history again. I personally use postimages.org!
Yea. The stop using imgur, everyone move to this service is a terrible call
Haha oh man, I used to "spite" out auction/buy people all the time in my younger years. I didn't even want the dragon, I just didn't want THAT person to have the dragon.
Teehee
Teehee
In my defense, if I didn't want it, I would have left it. I only spite buy ones I want.
The spite just loosens the wallet.
The spite just loosens the wallet.
I literally just read someone on the auction forums claim their lack of knowledge of how to properly use the g1 ping list could somehow result in them pinging a user that isn't even on said list.
Lolwhat?
Lolwhat?
Honestly, with the amount of mispings that people still get from it, I wouldn't be surprised. A lot of people seem to ping for the wrong colour combinations which summons said people to complain about being pinged for the wrong colour in the forums.
It's good to get pings for specific colour combinations and stuff, but when someone tags their Chartreuse/Smoke/Navy as greyscale, the people who wanted a greyscale are obviously going to be a little annoyed for the wrong ping. Like me. Eternally salty that I get way too many fucking greyscale pings when it's like one colour out of the three and especially so when that colour is goddamn MAIZE. THAT'S YELLOW. GET OUTTA HERE. (I know it's technically greyscale range but shhh)
That ccccccccould be what they meant in a roundabout way? Maybe they're just not used to how it works.

The user in question has never been on the list. This isn't a ping for wrong color. I double checked it. They aren't there in any category. That's not physically possible.
That's some serious "Instructions unclear, got dick in stuck in toaster" vibes
I'm not even from water flight but I agree, Wavecrest consistently has some of the most creative and gorgeous skins/accents

Apparently TrissyCat and their house mate got banned for multi accounting. Thoughts?

It's always the same thing.
"Wahh we were banned unfairly, we weren't multi-accounting!"
If you were playing as individual people and not funneling to your main account, you wouldn't have been banned. Simple as.

ive said it before and ill say it again. i played FR in a house of quite a few people who played FR, and all of them gradually quit. when they quit, they sent me their rare stuff like sprites, fest apparel, old dragons, etc. all on the same IP, all on each others friend list
we had all been playing for years separately, trading food and loaning each other gems or familiars to bond with (the funnest was us passing around a sprite for each of us to bond with every day since we collectively only had one of that one, we all got it to awakened together), buying gems from each other, etc
it was clear, for years, that we were all separate accounts, because its actually really fucking easy to tell when youre just playing for another account
i will never, ever believe "we were separate accounts and got banned!" or really most other "unfairly banned" stories, especially not after being friends with someone who raised a stink about how they were unfairly banned for "no reason" when they had told me a week prior to their ban they were selling their g1 imp on the black market (i didnt rat them out, the admins just arent as stupid as people think)
tldr people are stupid liars 98% of the time when they are banned

this. I frequently play FR on mobile using friend's wifi who also plays FR. I've also logged in on that friend's computer. We've shared things around between our accounts for years for giftbombs or random surprises, I've sold off some of those things for profit (as have they) and no issues. This has been going on for almost ten years now.
I feel like people don't understand that like... from a moderation POV it's really easy to tell who is a multi vs a friend group. These smoothbrained idiots all think they can play the victim card despite them breaking the rules and that they can freak the rest of the userbase out into thinking they'll get unfairly banned to rally behind them.
It's so incredibly stupid and frustrating to watch.
Have there been some unfair bans? Yeah. I know the Paypal payment issue was a big one for a while but IIRC some users were able to get their accounts back after settling the financial issue? But again, FR has legal reasons to instate the ban so it's still legally fair, the issue was on paypal's end but they still need to protect themselves.

It's difficult to discuss over here because there's no public proof or way to privately show proof to our mods, but all I can say is I told you guys.
Can I be honest? I take these accusations a lot less seriously because it a whole pile of "Trust us, this is happening, it's real" and very little substance that actually helps us know what is going on to try to protect ourselves and friends.
Per Undel (https://www1.flightrising.com/forums/frd/3233333/2#post_54027227):
"They're in the pool with the skins, which contains several hundred items and a chance to proc as a bonus item. We put them there because for a time the bears were highly undesirable as items because they were freely available from NotN and people were swimming in bears.
On that note, we made them meltable because there was so many bears... now that they're somewhat rare again, I think I'll go through and make them vendor and melt-proof so someone doesn't do a whoopsie and melt a valuable item."
