I love the backgrounds for all the vistas and wish they could be scenes. They're pretty but simple, which is missing in most of the scenes that are released - too many details/story elements that often clash with your own dragons' lore and/or aesthetic. (Even the new winter background - the northern lights are beautiful, don't get me wrong, but I was craving a plain grey-and-white snowscape without without ribbons (lovebirds) or chains (ice fest).)

I do actually really appreciate that they included the Rainbow and Progress options, though. Gives an ally the opportunity to participate and show support without usurping a label that doesn't apply.

the flag discourse itself is stupid as shit because I have met not a single gay person irl or even in most places on the internet that want anything more than the rainbow, trans, and sometimes lesbian flags lol. most gay ppl I talk to are exhausted by the corporatization of queerness, including all the flags which is solely just to sell merch, let's be real

dang, been waiting to see if anyone ever brought this one up lmao. I was brought into this server when I was new to G1 Hell and also part of some other minor FR server, I got pulled into it *specifically* to complain about people.
That being said, this was also literal years ago and they were complaining about a literal child being annoying. Ladylilitu also being a child, under 18/minor at least at the time.
I don’t like that they did it, but in the end I don’t think what they said was anything wrong.
Historically, at the time of the server, the ‘bullied’ user was universally considered annoying for a lot of reasons.
Do I like them? No. Do I like ladylilitu? Fuck no. I just don’t think she’s entirely wrong in this situation, and if you’re going to drag her for it then the rest of her squad go down with her, final was bullying as much as the others, idk. There’s a long list of reasons to hate or distrust her, this ain’t it.

The first Lightning fest was a hot mess of downtime and poor performance, also, so it being extended might not have actually increased the supply much.
It feels like they're trying a little too hard to sanitize the site. But, eh, it's their site, as long as they don't start scrubbing all humor a la tvtropes they can do what they want.

They got all the flags that actually see use offline. It's not -phobia to not include every tiny little variation that's popped up among chronically online circles, it's just practicality.

I think they looked at it, realized it was a dated reference. And not terribly funny to start. Same with the rack.
Are you queer, or are you speaking for queer people? Because while I see your point about the corporatization of queerness being exhausting, there are plenty of fully grown queer adults that do indeed use more than just the rainbow, trans, and lesbian flags. I believe that FR did a pretty good job of covering the basics, but to say that queer adults don't want more variety in flag representation is just not true.
I'd also challenge the idea that FR's core audience is teenagers. I feel like maybe this perspective is different based on which players you are interacting with and which flight you are in, but there are large numbers of adults actively playing FR. And those are the players that are going to be spending the most money.
