I honestly don't know if I'll ever go back to lightning as long as he's part of the dom team. Which is a shame, because that's my favorite flight. I left for... a very petty reason awhile ago and a not so petty reason. Both issues have since been resolved, and I've been wanting to return...
...but nah, man. Hard pass. I couldn't even bring myself to support lightning (which HURT because I always have in the past) because of that whole garbage he did during WvE. And then they do the false advertising Akirbeak (which was the only reason I considered boarding for them. Thankfully, I stuck with wind because of the uncomfy feelings from WvE and their absurd amount of dragons for badges made me not want to even bother) Just... lol :(
Nonny, I feel you. I left Plague after some of the discord mods were complete asshats, and swore I'd never go back after how I was treated, but after 2+ years of being in different flights (Shadow/Ice), and never feeling "home," I said "Fuck them, fuck it," and went back to Plague.
I don't really do much in the forums, anyway, and I didn't join the discord again, and it's been so nice being back where my clan belongs.
Don't let assholes like Rowan keep you from being where you're happy, because then they win.
To be fair with the Akirbeak part, it definitely was not intended to be false advertising. It was an oversight, a mistake because the Dom team is mostly comprised of new members. Kywren has already addressed it on the Boarding thread.
Though I get you. I don't know how to feel about everything after finding out he has been the one making all of those responses. Some part of me still wanted to believe that he was not a jerk, but urgh. :(
This. I won't be back to lightning until Rowan is gone entirely from the dom programs, and especially the mercenary program. As much as I love the rest of lightning, I can't support them, let alone return, with an asshat like that as one of the faces of the flight.
