... I think you may be warping and mixing two different messages together. I was talking non competing flights above.
I'm talking about how the other flights profit off of battles or any "competitive" push. We paid out the ass in WvE last year. I was mildly annoyed but Nature had the right to try, just like we had the right to turn things into impromptu conquest like lightning.

Part of my issue with Natron (and I have this issue with other people who are like this) is the whole thing where they will come in and go 'well actually, front legs are arms, and wings are modified arms' when someone mentions 'front legs' or in threads about magic or deities influencing dragons they will go 'well magic and the deities don't exist so my dragons evolved naturally'.
They don't do it OFTEN, just more often than I prefer so I just tend to avoid them as much as possible.

there isn't a specific method by which they add people to the dom team? maybe you can ask for more transparency. water just has apps that open up every January like clockwork.

Irabell. Every time I go into the Items for Sale forum & see yet another thread of theirs requesting a service that other players are offering (often with multiple of them) I roll my eyes. That, and their tone irks me.
UMA artists go so hard drawing really detailed accents that look cool on their own but then you can never find a dragon that it actually looks good on. Even triple white/black basics are somehow too busy to make these UMAs work. Like damn this would've been better off being a piece of fanart.
I spent 2 years finding the dragon for a wildclaw cybernetic accent I had. But it was worth it. Odds are, there is something you didn't think about that it works for.

Laugh/Isabella. They're so needlessly self-congratulatory over providing a service (gem exchanging) that isn't even unique to them.

How do you know that? If that's the case it seems sus they have the funds to sell so many gems at once.
I mean the gem exchange was a bigger deal back when gem prices were higher. But the gem ratio has been 1:1000 since the beginning of the year.
The gem ratio used to be 1:1300 before Veilspuns were released. Then it crashed after Obelisks came out, and it's been sitting at 1:1000 since the beginning of the year. Do you think gem prices are going to go up/down again?
no idea re: changes, i think a LOT will boil down to what staff releases in the next 6-12 months. that being said im so glad its down to 1:1000, makes exchange calculations a hell of a lot easier.

Just to preface this, I actually work as a moderator for online broadcaster stuff as a living so I’m saying this kind of thing on a more professional level than salt. Kudos to the mod team on here for being able to do this sort of thing for their own side project, y’all are monsters and I admire your spirit.
FR moderators/moderation though... dude I don’t know why some are even hired or allowed to stay in their position going by some of the experiences people share about them here. The more I hear about how they address the community on a ban or warning level makes me low key frustrated.
I don’t know how their system works exactly, but I know with my work we end up having to go through a lot of effort to find examples and reason behind any ban we issue. This means that stuff like multis are easy for us to figure out because multis don’t tend to bother being clever about things, or multis just need more digging. It’s not impossible to do, it’s just time consuming and I get them not wanting to deal with it, but also just?? Why not??
When you see your community talk about things and mention names like that, it’s important to look into it. I know there are some situations where people are wrongly accused, but you also need to remember that there are ways to figure this out on the technical end of things, it’s not impossible to tie accounts together regardless of whatever nonsense IP they’re using. The same goes for returning problematic users- I know FR has a general policy of ‘you can rejoin if you don’t be a dick’ system, but there are some situations where a ban is a ban and that user is now barred from recreating any account whatsoever without reaching out to the owners/directors with their explanation or apology.
How FR tackles locking forums also ruffles me up. There are many situations where things are locked where they don’t need to be, whereas others may be left open or active for far too long. Moderation isn’t perfect, but with how adamant FR is about being a friendly community, you’d thing they’d be better about that. When you have a proper team and everyone knows what they’re supposed to look for or be aware of, things like that are easier to address. When you have a completely transparent set of guidelines where every user is told the limits and you stick to those rather than being wishy washy on them makes moderation seem like a joke.
The issue of not being able to talk about moderation though? It does make sense and is a legal thing for a few companies. The talk about bans or whatnot can be super tricky since it makes the company need to address them to clarify or verify. FR is in the right for that, but the fact that they’ve stretched it into ‘oh you can’t complain about the site at all’ is a little silly. A lot of moderation tends to take comments and critiques like that and passes it off to developers (at least the ones I know do) to relay information and possibly look into improving certain aspects of it. When a user explains that they’re frustrated with something, it can be super helpful to listen to them, but obviously people can go too far, just feels like FR’s solution to another situation of ‘this needs to be moderated carefully’ is ‘we just don’t allow it whatsoever.’
