Even though it mostly worked out in the end, I'll take this anniversary over Eyepocalypse any day. Such badly-thought-out implementation of what was otherwise a great mechanic, and one that created unnecessary bad feelings and hostility among the playerbase that lasts to this day.
I can see why some players like the brown but I think the admins want to make all of the flights more appealing. Like most of the earth fest apparel doesn't sell very well but the colorful ones do

Don't get me wrong I love a good forest, but I also love rainbow flowers and butterflies.
But same. I love water, but I am more 'placid lake in a green field' or 'cool quarry surrounded by trees' type person, and and hate beaches, so I am also looking forward to the other banners as well :)

Yeah, and considering that the aesthetic is one of the reasons people cite for NOT moving to earth, I know a lot of other people would prefer differing aesthetics as well.
I know I would like earth a lot more as I associate 'earth' with gems, and minerals, and would love to see more (especially minerals. Other flights can have gemstones, but give earth good mineral aesthetics like Tiger's Eye, and Jasper, and Agates. I have a gorgeous striated black and gold flat rock that is probably Tiger's Eye, I have always loved it. I also have a beautiful light blue/white striated chunk of rock. Peacock Ore anyone? Snowflake Obsidian? There are so many beautiful rocks out there, and earth hardly reflects them :P)

Of course it's a lot of work and the artists did a great job for the most part with the artwork. Nobody is saying the artwork is terrible or that the artists did a poor job.
It's just that it's a very small amount of content compared to what we usually get for the anniversary.

Yea this is definitely better than the grifty-ness of the eyepocalypse by far. That was a whole other can of questionable worms I don't want to get into.
I'm in water, and I preferred the old banner. Never got the feeling that water was very "beachy" with palm trees and all of that

AYRT I have to admit I didn't like the old water banner, but it was more because it was rather lackluster than anything else.
Then again, I tend to prefer more vibrant colors and the old water banner was a bit too toned down for me.

Not gonna lie, I love all these new banner locations with the anniv (except for light, ironically not much has changed with their terrace and pillars…) I really enjoy the beach / summer vibes of Water and even dull Earth has the cool sunset glow. If not for the 6 month cool down I really wouldn’t mind doing some element hopping to these flights
Agree with the other poster - Water, Plague, Ice, and Wind for active, competitive communities that aren't Earth/Light.
I wouldn't go so far as to give Plague "powerhouse" status again until they prove themselves in battle against a top threat.

They were scraping before, just not as much. It still counted as scraping and staff told them that explicitly multiple times.
This exactly- the tool might have been slightly less convenient but it was totally possible to fix. There was no reason to escalate the situation. Some people are just like that though.
Yeah, I know. (about people being like that) Sad thing is apparently his tool WAS a useful one, and if he had just complied, the skin community would have had a tool that they wouldn't have to hide or spoof links to showcase their stuff.

I know the tool OP was talking about and I can get how people thought it was OK. It was way less intensive than Frtools, the user had to manually paste the dragon link in. Essentially just hotlinking the image, which staff could very well prevent from happening altogether, but instead they chose to hand out suspensions as a first warning.
I think most of the confusion comes people not understanding that hotlinking is considered scraping. Hell, I sure didn’t know that.

Nensec’s response to the whole thing was so incredibly defiant that people seem to assume the same of the other toolmaker now too. As far as i could tell from their personal account they had forgotten the tool OP was talking about even existed and that they would’ve taken it down if asked
