GermanicNordic has given me insanely bad vibes the last few days. They hit all the spots of your go-to "I'm an Odinist, strong viking, white people"-bullshit while keeping it neatly wrapped for a dragon browsergame.
The random german being thrown in, the tab for Skyrim making me think they played that game and now want to "celebrate their heritage" because "vikings cool". It's so fucking weird and I wish they would stop, look at their actions and think about the implications.

Can tell you right now, they probably ignore the fact that 99% of the Aesir were disabled, queer, gender fluid and intermarried/bred with non-Aesir (even animals in Loki's case) because they hype on that Neo-Nazi Asatru appropriating white pride train.

There are no bigots in Valhalla. Hel has a special place for them, and it's not one of honour.

(These same idiots usually think MCU Odin is what Odin is really like, when Odin is a grifting, cross dressing, disabled conman who'll give you a lift anywhere you like, but you'll be dropped off before your destination with no memory, no wallet, and one hell of a hangover.)

Nothing makes me more pissed than how norse mythology was appropriated by complete fucking assholes, and then distilled into something it isn't to keep it "epic" and "consume-able" for the market.

YEP. My grandpa is a first generation immigrant from Iceland, and his family has worshipped the Aesir for generations. (There's even a running joke about how every single man in the family has had three daughters before having a son is the result of someone way back in the day insulting Frigg, and she made sure the family had three daughters before having a son, to MAKE SURE the family drank their Respect Women Juice)

He fought in WWII, and when I was young, I heard him kvetching about how Neo-Nazis were just Nazis pretending to be followers of the Aesir and ruining the term Asatru. Can't imagine how he'd feel about the MCU and how the dumb kids are getting up in arms about the Loki tv and shipping wars.

I am so glad someone else is getting red flags from that person.
Their lair+posts about "their heritage" gives me the heebie jeebies and just shows they only know the 1930s Germany version of what norse culture and heritage was like.

As someone pointed out down below, a lot of us were or are queer, there's quite abit of interracial stuff too (like they found burial mounds with bones of peacocks and what matches more with asian physiology at the time!).
Not to mention norse folk (and I guess vikings, raiders) were known as 2 things: pale light haired folk or darker skinned black/dark haired folk.

But keep saying its your heritage and culture, GermanicNordic, when I very much doubt you can go very far back before it's definetly not norse™ (:

Given that they seem to be active around american times, looking at the time stamps of their posts, "my culture" + nordic stuff gives such a bad taste in the mouth in that usual "I'm irish\french\german\norwegian\polish\native american"-way as well.
