i was def too snarky at first but honestly now i'm really upset bc people are mean as fuck here jesus christ. i literally originally just said if someone doesnt like the content of a site they can just not follow it or start their own site. i didnt say they cant complain or that their complaints are invalid i just thought it was silly that they made it sound like they were being forced to follow it.

for the love of god people please remember that there are real humans on the other side of the screen. i legit feel like self-harming rn bc it feels like half a dozen anonymous people are dogpiling me AND totally failing to understand my original point despite anything i say which is really frustrating. fucking hell these sites get toxic af real fast.

this is one of the things i think SMR def gets right. their policy of deleting posts on request helps the mental health of people who feel like they're getting dogpiled or who feel anxious bc an anonymous person is criticizing them. it's a really thoughtful policy actually.

if you can't take it, don't dish it out.

Just up and saying you’re going to self-harm because of people disagreeing with you on an anonymous dragon game drama site with absolutely no warning mind you is weird as shit dude. Saying this as someone who is sensitive to the topic, it is upsetting to see it just be randomly and carelessly brought up in a discussion like this.

Don’t guilt-trip people with what are essentially threats of self-harm.

It is weird but I think this anon is spiraling. I don't think they're intentionally being careless, the stream-of-consciousness type comment reads like they're gonna have a panic attack or something.

Hope they're okay. This is a bit of a wake up call for me to maybe stop reading these sites because they're right about one thing... they DO get toxic real fast. I know I don't need this kind of negativity over FR, which should be a source of joy in my life.

Yeah, I can see where you’re coming from. Admittedly I feel I was a little harsh but as with any drama site tensions tend to run high especially ‘round sensitive topics.
Take the time you need, if you need it. Same goes for the anon I was originally replying to as well. At the end of the day nobody wants anyone hurt because of petsite drama.
