As an anon pointed out on SMR today, their Light Sprite raffle was supposed to end on Dec 10th, and it's the 12th as of submitting this post.

Demonweasel hasn't posted on the forums since 11/09 and their entire lair is starving. I'm always hesitant to participate in raffles like theirs since their either scams or RMT coverups most of the time, so I'm not surprised that this one is looking to be more of the same.

My predictions:

1. The raffle won't happen because they didn't reach their goal of getting 70kg in tickets
2. The light sprite will go to KingofDragons (https://flightrising.com/main.php?p=view&tab=userpage&id=61975) who is clearly an alt account of theirs. Inactive for 6 years only to resurface to post on this light sprite raffle.

Thoughts? Predictions of your own?

My guess is they just go inactive visibly and sneak the funds to a "new" account.

I love how in spite of the raffle ending the 10th and the runner being inactive, people are still trying to earn bump tickets even today.

It's most likely going to fall through and end up just like the Celestial Egg raffle did on Dappervolk

But now that I look at the alt's posts, it's an obvious scheme to send all the valuables from one account to the other without it looking "sketchy"

I've never seen such an obvious alt at the same time, like my dude, at least have a different tagline

Honestly, tempted to just report them and the probable alt to staff for multi ing for how suspicious entering the raffle of a person you live with is.

Funny the morning after I posted this here and people started commenting on the thread how it's maybe a scam, they resurface after over a month.

They blame their absence on holidays + family loss (awful if true, hope they're doing ok). At the same time I have to wonder why then did they postpone the raffle until December, and judging by their first post, perhaps longer if they still hadn't met their 70kg goal? You knew ahead of time that December = holiday season = probably busy, you could have just ended it in August.

I'm sketched out by them and will be surprised if the sprite goes to a normal looking account. Really sketchy to say that your goal is 70kg and that you'll extend the raffle until you get it. Just sell the stupid sprite on the AH!

I have to agree on how convenient the timing is! They claim they'll be drawing the winner tonight, so I guess we don't have long to wait to see if it's legit or not.

My bet is if it's not given to that sketchy account, it is awarded to an account that is really a friend or someone they know that'll "claim it" to complete the scam.

Also, 24 hours during the holiday season to accept a CR on a raffle run for this long seems kind of shady, especially seeing as you could just PM it to the winner and be done with it. This isn't a dom raffle with choices, there is one prize. You pick the winner, you mail it out, it's over. It's that simple. Even if the player went inactive, they paid to enter, and it's their prize by right if drawn.

That.....is pretty weird in itself. It's a super inactive lair from 2014.

The last time they posted before posting on the Light Sprite raffle was a post from 2015. So if this isn't demonweasels alt, it could very well be another players alt trying to game it? That account almost posted on another recent Light Sprite raffle.

That is a really weird account. A 7 year hiatus, only to come back and post on 2 different Light Sprite raffles? I'm not sure what their deal is, but it strikes me as very suspicious.

Literally just what a surprise that it's some random, inactive account that posted on the topic twice, very soon after it started. If they don't reroll the winner I'm calling it a scam. No way this player is still active. According to the spreadsheet they sent in 10kg and do have a large amount of tickets but it's just... suspicious.

Even if it's not demonweael's alt, it's yet another account that was inactive for 7 years to only come back to participate in light sprite raffles. They even interacted with demonweasel 8 years ago when they won ANOTHER raffle by DW: https://www1.flightrising.com/forums/raf/1093742/30#post_4466400

Legit no way this isn't another alt to move stuff around. Too big a coincidence.

Hate raffles like this in general. There is no way to prove that they're actually rolling for the winner and not picking someone at random :/ Demonweasel didn't even assign ticket numbers to people.

3 Days and Still No Redraw

Well

It's almost been three days since the ""winner"" drawn.

This winner both shows no sign of activity and still has the Light Sprite undiscovered meaning they haven't accepted any possible trades that might exist.

Demonweasel said they would redraw after 24 hours if the trade wasn't accepted because they were going on hiatus soon.

Sure smells like a scam! Doubt staff will do anything whatsoever about it though.
