Since this post will be current until January, thought I'd be salty/have fun with it. Let's see if we get Bingo, shall we?

Re: Multi-ing for the aesthetic

It is, in theory, possible to ethically multi.

You would need to:

-Abstain from dailies/freebies/etc, obviously.

-Track, and dump/donate/whatever, any treasure and gems you automatically receive from things like well-fed and flight dom bonuses. (And not donate them to your flight dom efforts, either.)

-Refrain from fully expanding your lair and den on your primary account. Treat your starter 5 lair/den slots on the secondary account as 'buying' more slots at your primary account's current price point, and dump appropriate quantities of currency. Do the same with the difference in theoretical cost whenever buying cheap expansions on the secondary account. Never let the total combination of slots go over the max number of slots on a single account.

-Never have more than 5 nests in use at any one time. (I don't think it's necessarily unethical to 'rent' your own nests for eye color, because it's BS that there's no actual safe/supported method for renting from other users. Just make sure you're letting one of your main nests be fallow that week, so you're not putting more total dragons into existence than you would be otherwise. Of course, if you do this, it's an obvious interaction between accounts that makes it more likely you'll get caught, but that's your own risk assessment to make.) Take whatever amount you'd ordinarily spend on rental fees and donate it to somebody in the target flight.

-Don't go in the flight forums for anything but your main account.

I think all that would reasonably mitigate economic advantage/impact on site performance, and if I were going to multi, these are the steps I'd follow because I'm a goody two-shoes like that. But that's a lot of extra work and calculation that would be required, which reinforces my point - it doesn't make sense to trust a random person who says they're totally not cheating when they multi.

What you and other posters seem to be talking about - fully exploiting the other accounts for dailies, discounts, etc, but just not funneling the rewards back to the main account - doesn't count as remotely ethical, IMO. You'd still be getting more perks than each individual user is supposed to get, even if they're not centralized.

FR just needs to do the side accounts like Lioden does, tbh.
