BINGO

Since this post will be current until January, thought I'd be salty/have fun with it. Let's see if we get Bingo, shall we?

Re: Auction etiquette

I'm doubtless a horrible person, but if I really wanted a dragon, hell yes I would wait till the last possible minute to bid. I don't want to contribute to a bidding war taking it out of my price range, and I don't want to lose it to someone with deeper pockets. If the seller wants to ensure that only the most sincere bidder in the pumpkin patch gets it, they can institute a 24-hour snipe guard or whatever.

DA I usually keep an eye on the interested bidders, and if i see one too many names that are either interested or actively bidding that i know have very deep pockets (or pockets that are much much much deeper than mine lol) then i either give up entirely or wait until the last minute. 9/10 times though if it's rich people bidding i just give up bc i know i won't be able to compete. But i don't really....i don't really feel like waiting until the last minute is scummy, if there aren't any other bids yet. If someone else has bid though it's not necessarily scummy but i do kind of side eye people that do that, just because you had literally all week or however long the auction is to bid, why would you wait until the last possible minute?
