I think it's because Hemophobia has been doing this for a while. They ask if something is a custom and/or complain about it being unobtainable, and then turn around and take the elements from the skin they want and use it for their own, even showing it in the same servers as the artists they're taking those elements from. It's kind of generic, sure, but I think that even if 90% of examples are just generic concepts and 10% is something to raise your eyebrows about, there would still be an issue, because the 10% shouldn't exist at all.

I appreciate you thinking the artists (at the very least, one) uncomfortable with what Hemophobia to their concepts are being idiots, though...

SA - I'd also like to point out maybe it's not obvious as to what in particular people find wrong with what Hemophobia is doing. It's NOT that they're using these concepts in a general sense, because yeah, someone could come up with that on their own completely separate from someone else's work. But that's not what's happening here, and it's pretty blatant. Hemophobia has shown to talk about these works and then one blink later they're using the concepts from the works they're talking about, on the same breed, in a very similar way. That's a little different from using "generic concepts", because they're plucking it directly from other artists and it's so obvious and uncomfortable to watch.

I will apologize for the use of idiots, but if they'd actually explained it clearly like you did here the first time, I would actually have understood and never used that wording. Thank you.

Hey no need to be hostile. Come on, they apologized, it was am honest mistake. People put petty drama all the time and they changed their mind when they saw more evidence. No need to be a jerk.

I understand the frustrations, but being hostile like that won't do anyone any good. It's part of the reason why the conversation over on saltminerising got so fucked up, because everyone was hostile towards each other over there and well... look what happened. I feel like if we maintain/allow hostility like this, it will only make this conversation worse and get it shut down/called a harassment campaign like it did on saltminerising.

On one hand, yes, perhaps OP should have looked into things more before creating such a judgement, I understand where you're coming from there, but on the other hand, it was a mistake they acknowledged and has since apologized/learned from. Aren't you able to recall a time when when you've judged something at a glance only to be proven wrong? It's just something people may do and yeah, it may not be a good thing, but if we're able to see that we did wrong and acknowledge it, then that's fine! Lesson learned, you know?

Seriously, the info was not presented well over there and it was trolled to hell. I posted here after the mods on the saltmine were talking about cutting off discussion, so no clear answers were coming out of that place at that point.

The anons that explained it here were calm and concise in explaining it. Had I not asked?(If poorly worded, as I apologized for) I'd be staying clear of that Discord's users and not buying from Hemo or the ones vocally involved on both sides after seeing that mess.

Now? Hemophobia is outright blocked on site so that I won't buy any of their accents by accident.
