I think it's because they were trying to lowball newbies specifically, and "bad faith trades/scams" are against the rules (mainly I hear people getting dinged for it by scamming newbies of valuable G1 hatches). Their main post's wording targeted new players:

ugh yeah, I unfortunately didn't have enough foresight to archive it, but from what I remember it has some wordy vomit of: "I'm not here to try an convince people to change their opinions!!" or some shit

Can confirm. Mahogi bought a LOT of 2013/14 stuff from me and it was almost a two week battle to get what it was worth- they fought me every step of the way on what the value was for everything, and eventually, they caved, but even then, it wasn't for the actual value, but 80% of it.

I found out AFTER the fact that they're a scammer, and their two week struggle to try to lowball me made a lot of sense. Will never do business with them again.

what a piece of fucking shit. no wonder why they think that drastically low-balling people is just a "play style"
