As someone who's trans, you should know that being outed as autistic can ruin transition, depending on where you live.

I'm autistic and trans- my gender therapist diagnosed me, but NOT on paper, because she said "I don't want to ruin your life. Once you've had surgery, feel free to reach out for an official diagnosis if you want."

MANY places/states will deny you HRT/Surgery if you're diagnosed as autistic, because many doctors believe that autism means you don't have the self awareness to known what you really want.

i'm not sure this is what those users are worried about though? i'm assuming op is referring to two recent saltmine posts (one about breeding a gay trans dragon and the other about putting stims in their dragons profiles), which both came across more as them being worried ppl would call them out for things like stereotypes or fetishization or appropriating things or something.

in which case, yes those anons are probably overthinking it because most people aren't going to care unless you make an actual offensive character, but i can still understand being anxious given there definitely are a few people who would be jerks because they don't think their trans dragon is trans enough or only autistic people are allowed to have an autistic dragon with stims, or so on.

Not database, domain! It'll be talking to the same database. Technically speaking, the domain is not the important bit either.

Think of it like this:
FR currently has two ferret mazes. One maze is labelled www1, the other www - these labels are our domain. The same ferrets (data, stored in the database) run through each maze. Every so often staff are lifting a bunch of plastic tubes out of the www maze, rearranging them to make them quicker to run through, and putting them in the www1 maze. It's all the same functionality, just faster and easier to work with.

Previously, they also added toys and treats when moving the pipes over, but that's a lot more work. For now, they're leaving the treats alone and just moving the pipes over.

I specifically just didnt seek mental health help until i was far enough in my transition where it wouldn't endanger me :) This is super common and it sucks ass and is also never talked about

(fun fact in my country you also need to be straight as a trans person to be allowed transition related healthcare so i also stayed in the closet for years while having my psyche picked apart by medical professionals lol)

My opinion is that adults can do their own risk assessment but it's stupid to send personally identifying information to strangers online. Once you put it on the internet, it's there forever, and not everyone who might stumble across it will have good intentions. That kind of risk is NOT worth it for a discord server, jesus christ.

It's not normal for 18+ servers. I've been asked for ID to join a website with porn on it once in my life, and it was extremely sketchy (I refused and they still let me in).

Am I on a different internet or something? I've subscribed to actual porn without showing my ID.

Unfortunately... captain-chompers on Tumblr is Dakkokki. Truly the gift that keeps on giving. When will he not have drama going on related to discord.

Not only that, but there's a specific issue with it being a Discord server in that you need to send your ID to an actual random, specific human (or channel) on Discord. This isn't going to be uploaded using any kind of obscuring technology, or automatically deleted, and whoever's checking them can't possibly be able to identify proper forms of ID from all around the world.

There's a reason you show your ID to, say, a bouncer, who has a look at it and gives it back, rather than just goes off with a photo of it for an unspecified amount of time and says they'll delete it.

Nope, I'm in several 18+ servers (most of which have nothing to do with FR, which makes this a bit more hilarious to me) and have been to a few porn websites now and then, never have I ever been asked any sort of identifying information. The most I get is "Are you over 18?" and a "Yes/No" button.

These people in the replies talking about porn sites that ask for credit card info?! What the hell sort of porn websites are these people visiting lol

You're absolutely right and I'm glad word is getting out about how weird this is. A lot of FR drama is pointless but this could really affect people's lives if it went wrong.
