oh boy let me tell you about iri/shim that has been bugged for a million years

Oh I know about iri/shim.

It's why I haven't spent gems on it in years. Staff just has been fixating on fixing random new(ish/er) stuff in the past few years without warning, and I'm tired of my projects going to hell because of it.

the manes don't even match the wings 90% of the time now :/

DA - I went the other way with iri/shim: since staff tend to change the newer or more popular genes first, I assume that iri/shim won't ever be fixed and have been skipping on the new genes in favor of iri/shim...

Except staff said that they WOULD fix irishim originally... and then years later said they might not. That's the biggest issue I have with all of this. For all the things staff does well, communication about artwork errors is not on the list.

They dragged their feet on fixing something they said they would so long that now they pretty much can't... and then they fix something they never indicated was broken. Make it make sense.

Me: I'm buying eggs at 225g each.
Person: sends CR with 2.
Me: attaches 450g
Person: Shouldn't that be 550g? There's two eggs.
Me: No. 225 * 2 = 450.
Them: silently cancels CR
Me: ??????

So... It's all or nothing. We get old obelisks back and change other breeds to match, or we get the new obelisks and it stays the same. What do you think?

I think staff is being fucking ridiculous.

I'm fine with it, I get why they want them consistent across breeds as much as possible and honestly I want Obelisk flair on other breeds instead of what we got. I'm glad they responded so quickly to this backlash. Time to vote.

it makes sense to me. idk why ob genes should be treated differently than all the others. it sucks that people put time+effort into putting two genes on obelisks but in looking at this from a distance it seems silly to give them explicitly different gene designs.

i think that's fair. doesn't make sense to only have 1 of the breeds have a cool effect (even if they don't all have a large mane).

they're essentially asking people upset about the ob change to force everyone else to potentially have the same experience of their dragons being ruined or suck up their own unhappiness for the sake of the rest of the community. also two days around holiday time is way too short a runtime for such a big change.

I literally don't understand what I would be voting for, both options sound like "wizard's choice" where whatever I vote for doesn't matter because staff will do the same thing.

It's not the same thing at all, unless you're saying either way it sucks for someone.

We get the fancier old obelisk mane colors on the other maned breeds or we get the fixed obelisks and nothing else changes.

the descriptions used n the poll are very confusing, if i wasn't already so into flair for obelisks i wouldn't even know what they are asking

Honestly, flair looks kind of halfassed on the manes of any breed other than obelisk. While I hate how this is being put to us, I think the other breeds might benefit. Tundras are boring with it now.

Just because you think it looks boring doesn't mean players haven't been using that boring version too - all in all, it will just be the same problem as now, just the affected breed will change. It's plain manipulation tactic by staff, confusing wording so that at least some players don't understand what they vote for and mandatory changes for the sake of changes: in the end it will just lead to another passive-aggressive post by acorn in the tone of 'but you chose it yourself, we cannot be blamed by what the players chose :)'.

At least this finally killed any shred of leftover guilt I had from not buying gems and using ad-blocker to block all ads on FR.

Also, if you don't like staff decisions to the point where you aren't willing to support the site to help it stay open to play on, why not leave?

The fact is, if you buy gems off players or do any business in gems, you're encouraging other players to pay the site for gems instead. You're not making that strong a statement.

Accounts botting fairgrounds to buy Roundsey tickets. That way they can get the fairgrounds limit in tickets each day, and the possibility of multiple prizes from multiple accounts. There was a bunch of them banned.
