What's everyone's favorite coli venues for chests? I haven't played in a long time and can't remember where I used to grind

You don’t seem to have a good memory about the price history of treasure. Treasure collapsed in June when Obelisks came out. Like it went from 1:1300 to 1:1000 overnight. Now that most players have them demand for treasure has gone down.

what's the best way to make mad cash during notn? selling chests or gambling for eggs?

lmao what do you mean, I said the last couple of months (~Sept-Dec), not back in June. It went from 1:1100 up to 1:1200 just before NotN, and the other anons here have given good explanations because I completely forgot about WC scrolls being released and the fact that NotN was coming.

Anyways it went back down now so this thread can perish quietly.

I've never been much of a chest seller because I like gambling for eggs, but I always make mad bank off selling Swipp materials. Every time Swipp rolls over, I check for which materials are going for the highest prices on the AH, then go farming for them. Even if you don't manage to sell everything, you'll have them ready for next time. The amount you'll get from selling mats in stacks is usually more profitable than selling individual chests (at least for me).

I wonder if, since the smokes aren't part of full sets, we might get more of them next year. Because yes, awesome.

I was in love with the orbs when I first looked at them on my teeny phone screen, only to completely lose interest when I realized the whole disembodied hands thing. So much more limiting in what kinds of aesthetics it can be used for than just the orb by itself would have been.

Just avoid the Mire if you want a leveling venue. Mire NotN critters are eeevil.

Also, deeply regretting my designated librarian dragon having a floaty pose rather than a standing one; I would have slapped the 'neat stack of books behind and one to read' variant on her so fast, but the chaotic spiral of them doesn't appeal to me at all.

Male and female Guardians both look great though.

Anon who sells mats here. How many chests did you sell to turn that kind of profit? o_o I don't think I grind enough for it to work out for me, but I'm curious.

I typically train rather than farm low venues during NotN, but I thought I was an outlier in doing so, since it isn't optimal in terms of event loot rate. Earth isn't doing a public buy and, being Earth, hardly needs to turbo-exalt at a loss to secure their conquest. So the fodder floor being at 9500 is a bit surprising to me. Unless that's one really juicy IF raffle.

Exalting dragons gives you a chance at chests. I haven't exalted enough to figure out what the chest rate is, but either I'm very lucky or it's high. Could very well be worth it to exalt at a loss just to get your hands on more chests. I suspect that's what's going on.

Just had three mobs dodge my dragons twice each, and then the motherfuckers had the gall to not drop anything.

I think this earns a square simply because it's just so Good.

I don't think you're that much of an outlier, grinding is really boring and training slightly less so. Plus now the drop rate for chests on exalting seems to be close to 1/2!

I had a great loop going- exalt a dragon, get a chest. Open chest, get an egg. Hatch egg, exalt, get chest- rinse and repeat about six times before I finally didn't get an egg lol.

SA: i sold them for 20-21g each so that's 120-125 chests. the total amount includes chests i got from my dailies as well as swipp and exalting. training fodder simultaneously is really worth it bc chests drop from exalting at a decent rate.

I'm just a casual cash maker but I like selling chests, it's exciting to get an egg but seeing the gems reliably stacking up in auction house profits feels delicious. To keep it fun I'll do things like open 1 chest for every 10 I sell or set a gem quota for the day and then open several chests once I hit it

Things I love to see: my dream G1 in very specific colors was hatched today... and immediately exalted unnamed and untrained.
