any predictions for the anniversary update? I doubt it's a new ancient breed as veils came out not too long ago. I'm thinking a new trading post activity like baldwin

i think most people believe it's going to be a modern breed, but i'll toss my hat into the round and say hatchling skins and accents.

Part of me wants to think new modern breed bc there hasn't been an apparel update in a while, save for recolours, or modern breed genes, and part of the delay for a new modern breed was the backlog of apparel and genes.

BUT that's putting too much faith in the staff, so I'm willing to bet it's some kind of user profile update (since we got dragon profiles), new eye type with a clanbound Galore gift and an anniversary familiar.

+1 for the profile update, perhaps with achievement system revamp? Considering that was closed three, I think, years ago for 'updates'.

Achievements are going to be the last since they're tied to everything else I believe.

Anniversary updates are usually a change to how the site works instead of an additional item within an existing mechanic, aren't they? Gaolers were an anniversary update but that was only for the release of ancient breeds, so I don't think it'll be the modern breed.

Given that they don't seem to be avoiding controversial update discussions at the moment, I'm going to guess a coli and dom overhaul and rebalancing.

I could still see them doing the modern breed for the anniversary - it's not really a new mechanic, but a new modern breed is a pretty big deal compared to new apparel or familiars or even ancient breeds now.

But I could also see a user profile revamp or maybe them releasing coli PVP. They haven't talked about that in a while. Dom or coli is possible, but I think without some sort of prior 'this is happening' warning it might be TOO controversial, especially not so far from the eye revamp. That's gonna be one of the riskiest things to revamp.

I personally want a nesting grounds revamp, but I don't think that was very high on their pending items list so that's just wishful thinking on my part.

The only thing we know for sure is that, whatever it is, there will be a very vocal group or two who hates it SO MUCH and we are GOING TO HEAR ABOUT IT.

+1 to PVP. I would love to see item-attachment menus getting fixed, but yeah, that seems more revamp-y than Shiny Anniversary Surprise!-y.

thinking a coli or dom related update wouldn't be controversial is peak FR staff.

but def not something I want them to do without tons of feedback and "hey this proposed thing you said would happen in your planned update would have these massive effects you don't seem to have considered".

I'd like no salt/no drama so clan profile updates, preview button in dragon bios, maybe idk marketplace reverting back to stock in order of when it was reloaded like it used to.

Just had a crazy idea: what if it's one more thing that mostly everyone in suggestions is against but staff absolutely love (like random mutations & eyes). For example, single color scatterscrolls or element change scrolls because "customization is our goal".
