Funny thing: if they do make imp eggs available, the dragons will be easily distinguished from old scrolled ones, and relatively valueless. You could literally know which dragons couldn't have been hatched.

all about the ID, if it is 3 miles long, it's freshly hatched
would there even be a market for old gen1 imps then (aka no interest at all anymore), or would it just drive their price through the roof?

That market probably would still there, you could see this week how some people are all about 'original' eyes.

The market would be there. The players that couldn't aim that high or don't want to would be enjoying the young imps. The elite would aim old and the prices stay high.

You could only know which ones weren't hatched, but few recently scrolled had recent IDs. So even post eggs, someone could still use a scroll on a newly hatched dragon lol

If they did, they'd have to deal with people assuming their dragon was hatched from an imp egg and valuing it thus or have proof.

Burden of proof would be on the seller to show it was scrolled, and people would likely think it faked with how few scrolls still exist.

Admittedly, this is all theoretical, because imp eggs don't exist...

And to be honest, I doubt they ever will. Vials are different: there was no Kickstarter agreement there. And they have not made any new Kickstarter items. Roundsey Kickstarter stuff was all donated.
