Was there any blood purity bs going on about imps back before they got common? That's what all the "natural" eye marker debate is reminding me of and it made me wonder if the community had a gross debate like this before. Like did people think imps with only one imp parent were lesser at any point? Or want scrolled versus bred as a marker?

Signed up in 2013, I absolutely remember people trying to market their imp hatchlings with "both parents are imperials!" I do not remember any outrage or debate or anything regarding to it, it seemed to me (at least in my bubble back then) that no one gave a shit

And from what the other anon said the gen 2 market still does this, ugh yuck. "Natural", pure bred stuff and the like always sounds so gross on pet sites.

Signed up in 2013, and what the other anon, said- definitely saw a price difference in imps with two imp parents vs an imp/wc pairing.
I got my first imp at 800kT, and she has a WC dad, Imperial mom. At the time I got her, "pure" imp parents were going for 1.5 million treasure and upwards.

I remember imps being bred from two gen 1 imps being a thing imps with "pure" parentage also became more of a thing as imps in general got less expensive, presumably to justify keeping the prices high (and there was a whole argument about how bad it was that imps were going down in price at all)
