To anyone who is arguing that 'natural born' dragons with special eyes *must* be marked to separate them from those that had a vial applied even though there's no actual difference between the two: you're disgusting and I'm blocking each and every of you.

... Seriously, I'd considered noting the natural born thing onto a few of mine not because they're superior, but because I personally hatched them. But I don't want caught up in the drama.

Just to check: is this in regards to the badge idiots made for it or is my registry of personally hatched special eyed dragons I have on one of my dragons going to get me blocked because I choose to celebrate my hatching luck like I have for over a year?

I like having my keeper of the eyes for fun...

I have no problems with marking whatever you wish in bios, I do the same, but there's this very particular set of players who are complaining all over suggestions and announcement thread over how 'natural born' dragons should get an automatic marker in dragon profiles saying that their eyes are natural (for example, there would be Eye type: Light Primal and Eye type: Light Primal (natural)).

Perhaps I'm just being an oversensitive snowflake, but the longer I see all those 'arguments' in favor, the more they remind me extremely uncomfortably of various anti-trans or anti-uncommon gender presentation talking points.

Honestly, that's why I asked. The list in question is less "look at how genuine these are versus vialed ones" and more "my luck is bizarre and I like logging it." And I wanted to make sure I wasn't going to get lumped in with them. I'll keep it off individuals to avoid looking like those jackasses.

There is no reason to start that "natural born eyes" shit. All special eyes are wonderful, and I've no less than 6 getting primalled when I get the chance.

trans myself and the whole argument gave me a similar feeling as stated in another post in that thread here, but one thing I did realize is how with the Roundsey dragons for example, the "raffle prize" mention makes sense. these dragons are not generated via user means. there is one, maybe four a week. they are very rare and we can do nothing to make getting them faster.
primals? how many dragons are hatched each day, whether via nests or eggs? fucking thousands, you get a lot of primals a day compared to that. something like a "natural primal" is virtually worthless and will add no worth to the dragon at all. no one is going to sit around waiting for that perfect natural-born primal (yikes)

By their logic, we should be putting notes on dragons that were scattered (tri-color or scatterscroll) as well, or dragons that were breed or gene changed, or whatever. What about all the dragons that got a common-eye vial applied? Should they have been singled out as not natural? Strange how those situations never bothered them before 🤔!

It only bothers them because they have no way to distinguish that 20kg primal g1 they paid too much for vs a pretty gen 1 someone dropped 500k on a vial for.

And there should be no way to distinguish it. I don't want or need that for my pricey pretty eyed buys. They need to get over it.

Personally i'm just grateful that the G1 community hasn't been pushing the "Natural" thing, as far as i can see. I'm in in the community and it already feels exclusionary and stuck up sometimes, it doesn't need another way to be those things lol. I feel like if someone wants to slap (Natural) in their dragons bio they should but the idea as a whole to me is....it feels like just another reason for people to say "my dragon is better than your dragon" and honestly that just makes me tired.

I went out of my way to find this community again just to say: same! This "natural born eyes" shit has me so disgusted and worked up right now that I'm probably just going to have to stop playing for a couple days. Really guys? Really? Can't see any problem with making sure everyone knows who the dirty vial users are, huh? wow.

came here to say exactly this lmao. i'm one of the people who is a little disappointed with the update because of the effort i spent collecting primal g1s (only a little though; it's nice to be able to apply eyes to whoever i want) but this "natural born" thing really grosses me out. i thought i was being silly, glad it's not just me.
