Seems to be another upcoming competitior on the petsite market, focusing on magic wolves. I'm curious how it'll do

?? enlighten me about these wolf petsites? Ive been trying to find some and until recently when wolvden released Ive never seen any?

I believe Wajas is typically seen as a Wolf petsite? At least that's what I always considered it.

Also there's probably more than just that but Wajas is the only other petsite I'm actually active on, so that's all I can speak of, sorry.

NAYRT but Wolvden is one I know of. I played it for a bit and I'm not a huge fan but neither it nor Lioden are really my "thing"

I mean, almost all of the petsites -not focused on a single animal- that I know have wolves/dogs on their repertoire, and those are often the most popular of all the species they offer(wajas, chicken smoothie, ovipets, sylestia, etc...). Maybe nonny meant that?

Chickensmoothie started also out as a wolf/dog petsite, but there are many different animals you can adopt now. Tho CS is a very casual pet site so you dont need to grind stuff or do dailies there.

I would like a muskrat petsite, you could have a dam building game, gather twigs, dam rivers...

https://www.lorwolf.com/Demo - checked it out. Good idea, very FR-like, but the art is, idk, uninspiring and passive? Have to agree that it does suffer from the whole 'generic wolf' thing, mystical beings such as dragons get you far broader art opportunities.

That's the whole 'generic wolf' thing, it does seem like the difference between breeds (at least currently) is only a slight change in body shape and mainly pose. And FAQ doesn't seem to be more exciting... besides the fact that wyverns are usually a type of dragon, so they seem to be the most non-standard breed in the list.

Will it just have wolves? Or other species?
Lorwolf will feature three starting breeds: Lupin (resembling wolves), Jocol (resembling coyotes), and Kit (resembling foxes). Once the game is ready, we will keep releasing new breeds. Some types we have planned for the future are Maned wolves, Direwolves, Wyverns, African Wild dogs, Bush dogs, modern dogs, Dholes, Tibetan foxes, and Fennec foxes! All breeds will be considered 'wolves.'

Frankly after Dappervolk's disappointment art style is a lot lower on my priorities when it comes to petsites. I'm interested in how the game actually *plays*

I helped alpha test lorwolf and while it still had quite the ways to go I could definitely see potential. There's around 300 people in the discord server so I can see launch going fairly well for them, especially if the upcoming kickstarter generates more hype.

My big problem with these other sites like Tattered Weave, Wolvden, Dappervolk, Furvilla, etc. ... is that they just don't manage to hit the same satisfying feel of collecting and breeding that I really enjoy Flight Rising for. Whenever a new petsite pops up I hope for something more akin to Flight Rising but like, with more story events maybe? I don't know if that is too much to ask for but it'd be nice.

i think I noticed a while ago what I'm really looking for in pet games is diversity? I loved Neopets as kid, I played Subeta and liked it, I like FR a lot too, but all these games like wolvden don't hit the lore, diversity, many-things-to-look-at factors like those. I can only so and so often stand to look at the same greybrownblack wolves in a row.
Dappervolk and Furvilla also fall, for me, into the same thing again. It all kinda looks samey, never mind if you are in the ocean village or the forest one - the colours are the same, the character (silhouettes) are the same, the personalities are the same. things like the Darigan Citadel\Lost Desert\Altador felt a lot different and exciting, and rich

There's also 3 fr mods active in the discord rn so make of that what you will

Their colour wheel looks a LOT like FR's, though they have colours I WISH FR had implemented with the expansion, like super pale/muted colours.

I'm so wary of pet sites crashing and burning that idk if I would want to back it, but their kickstarter model is very similar to FR's with a breed scroll and everything. Gonna keep my eye on it.

anyone else remembering Impressive Title? This isn't about IT tho, but back when Impressive Title was popular, a couple people on deviantart were trying to make their own game like that, a bit. you could chose between wolf, big cat, dragon, owl and make your own avatar there, and play in a 3D setting. it never got out of the character creator stage and then just died off
the name was something with A... Akona? Akonia? i don't remember. it looked super fascnating to me, a 13 year old kid back then

Out of curiosity, what part gives you clanheart vibes?

at least the art style looks less muddy than clanheart but ... yeah

I just went looking into Clanheart and they still have half a website and two whole Patreon backers somehow.
