(Anonymous) 2021-02-01 07:46 pm (UTC)(link)the main story is grindy and is the central gameplay of the site. dailies are grindy. raising stats is grindy. fetch quests upon fetch quests upon gambling and stat outfit changes. once you reach the end of the story, that's it. you can continue to grind dailies for money and collect pets or apparel. like gaia but less fun. at least gaia has a combat game... dv has walking simulator. even if the main quest manages to engage people, there's nothing afterwards to keep them hanging around unless they're collectors.
i joined for the avatar dressup, art, and community, because i knew the gameplay looked dull, but every time i look there's fewer than 200 people online.
idk if there's anything in development that would make the site better but i hope so. i'd rather see them thrive than go down.

(Anonymous) 2021-02-24 11:50 am (UTC)(link)> Update :: I need funds, and I'm honestly ready to quit DV. I've listed some prices which is usually their market price, and then the discount price. Because I'm UNDERSELLING, I will prioritize offers in gems and/or treasure. If you offer in potatoes, I will value your potato at 300-400:1 gem, because I'll need to transfer them for gems later.
Can it be called "Underselling" if it's not moving at the price you had listed it at? Can it be called "market price" if no one is willing to shell out so much for items on a site that has managed to kinda kill itself? I am so so so glad that I unloaded almost all my DV stuff and only kept a few items I genuinely liked and that my Avi is wearing. Maybe the site will make a comeback (I wasn't there for it, but I've heard that the early FR days were R O U G H), and if not, well, I only lost out on a little potential profit
