ADDENDUM TO RULE THREE (3): Because I do NOT want another instance of shit that happened this month, and the shit that happened in @anonrising, Fandom Politics are NOT ALLOWED. This includes, but is not limited to:

•          Anime
•          Fanfiction/Fanart 
•         Anti/Proshipping war bullshit      

*These subjects almost inevitably bring up Anti/Proship bullshit and there are folks on both sides who might be triggered by certain content, or feel dismissed by various argument points on both sides. As a result, THEY ARE  NOT ALLOWED. This site is for DRAGON DRAMA, not your Pro/Anti shipping bullshit. Take it to fandomwank or fandom_secrets or whatever other platform they're using nowadays.

Anyone else getting sick of seeing this hatchery discussion at the top of FRD. Just get a discord server like the rest of us instead of clogging it up with a "private" (in quotes because a mod amended their first post to say you can't do that) thread of inanity.

It's nothing personal, just really damn annoying.

I don't regularly visit FRD anymore, as there was rarely anything interesting in there, but wow that's annoying. It is absolutely a private discord server but in a "public" thread. 81 pages in a month of just one group chatter is ridiculous.

FRD is a cesspit so I don't care about it on that grounds, but god I hate people who do the "oh noooo, we can't PoSSiBlY communicate elsewhere!!!!!" bullshit. So 5 new shits to add to the blacklist...

Yes, it is annoying to see. Do I actually care enough to be bothered about it though? not really. I remember being 15 and having a 'group thread' on chickensmoothie, im sure we were horribly annoying(mods actually asked us to move it offsite at some point and locked it, in some astounding display of 13-15yo maturity(I don't entirely understand in hindsight given who we were) we actually did create our own forum to hang out in) but i remember being these kids and having CS/FR as my main hangout spot, using a separate chatroom felt weird and overwhelming especially because the nature of a forum thread is that it's much easier to communicate while not having to be there at the exact same time

I personally agree that a forum thread is infinitely better for communication than things such as discord (I hate live chats with a passion), but why FRD? Quests & Challenges or Dragons for Sale would both make reasonable sense for a hatchery, and are much less underfoot, and since the members are apparently subscribed, it shouldn't make a difference to them where it is.

You don't have to treat Discord as a live chat though. The spammy nature of their short messages would be perfect for a discord server because if they're offline at the time they can just log in later and check the history, rather than the entirety of FRD having that shit clog up the front page. And if they're not, they can keep posting their spam and no one outside their group needs to see it.
