ADDENDUM TO RULE THREE (3): Because I do NOT want another instance of shit that happened this month, and the shit that happened in @anonrising, Fandom Politics are NOT ALLOWED. This includes, but is not limited to:

•          Anime
•          Fanfiction/Fanart 
•         Anti/Proshipping war bullshit      

*These subjects almost inevitably bring up Anti/Proship bullshit and there are folks on both sides who might be triggered by certain content, or feel dismissed by various argument points on both sides. As a result, THEY ARE  NOT ALLOWED. This site is for DRAGON DRAMA, not your Pro/Anti shipping bullshit. Take it to fandomwank or fandom_secrets or whatever other platform they're using nowadays.

I'm the anon who posted the other day that I'd been meh on the prospect since it was announced but that a recent admin post had slightly raised my hopes that this update would involve something to actually do.

So...yep, also underwhelmed. Not going to actually gripe because the team clearly put a lot of thought and effort into it and I'm seeing a lot of enjoyment here and otherwise, but from my perspective a few minutes clicking around the new art and lore and then back to FR life as normal wherein the world map might as well not exist because there's no reason to visit doesn't seem like an update of real magnitude. New den tasks being introduced was much more exciting.

So I agree that this wasn't very exciting but I am also confused about what, specifically, people expected to be able to do with the map being released.

Same tbh, the devs stated it would be a visual overhaul of the map and that we can move our lair locations, noting more.

Now with the new map here, there is a ton of potential they can do with it, like change it if major events happen in the lore etc. see luminax roaming around

Also I am pretty sure the Sactums will play a pretty big role in the future in the lore and the map will reflect that if something happens with them.

Luminax is a cutie. Love being able to move places and that there's a clan headcount for each area! Widescreen is great but there's definitely some kinks to iron out, like the Ice domain not being fully viewable in that mode.

I love how it all looks! Of course, seeing all the flights locations now is making me want to switch flights, lol. Nature has Treehouses! And Water has a really cool underwater section, and Earth has a cool bazaar....i love this new map so much!

imo the map is cute and the lore blurbs are fun. wouldn't have expected the trading post to be in shadow so thats kinda neat

it gave me a new goal too - i want to move into an ancient lair spot and i stopped expanding ages ago bc i just don't buy dragons anymore

tiny bit wishing other flights had underwater sections too, just to see what the life is like there
after all the entire ocean isn't dead or water flight, but it's not like that's so super important
also it would help shut down all these people going "but that is x flight, y isn't allowed to have it" urghrhgrguh. i already saw seomeone complaining about nature flight having bamboo houses, because "that's wind"

I think it would be neat for the whole underwater layer to just be underground in general. It could show tunnels/subterranean elements of the other zones as well as any other underwater areas
