(Anonymous) 2021-02-07 04:24 pm (UTC)(link)On the inside I feel assertive and I'm not bothered by the fact that I have a resting bitch face, but from the outside, my movements are weird (long af limbs), my smile is unsettling and I cringe at myself.
Actually seeing myself depletes my self-esteem. I don't wanna pretend that's not happening, cause that's genuinely how others see me, and it's very different to what I perceive of myself.
How do?

(Anonymous) 2021-02-08 12:18 am (UTC)(link)I have this problem too, I hate listening to recordings of myself because I think my voice and movements are really annoying. But the people who interact with me never seem bothered, even strangers or jerks who have no particular reason to hold back from criticizing me. It's common to have a blind spot or disconnect when it comes to how we think other people perceive us. Unless they're actually picking on you, it's likely that you fall within their parameters for "normal" and they're not worrying about it.
