It's not the buying gems part that keeps people from being banned, at least according to that account. "But I loved my original account, invested A LOT of time and real-life money in it (as in purchasing gems, accumulating amount is probably over 1k dollars)." So, idk what makes an account safe.

imo the only way to prevent flagging is to make all transfers two-way, 99% of people banned people who get flagged do offsite trades which look one-sided on FR, or have people they gift/who gift them frequently

I do a lot of Mycena Cave trades (like the one that got Klee banned) and I haven't had a problem. I also do one-sided trades and some I do regularly with one person. But maybe I should stop.

Anyways I think there are multiple factors involved. I think it depends on who you trade with as well.

That's true, something has to trigger them looking at your account activity but I don't think FR is "smart" enough to have an automated system.

Yeah I wonder how they do it. I think last year or so, a lot of people who were involved in RMT were all banned. (I know because I went on their forums and a bunch of people complained) So I think they somehow keep tabs on people they suspect of RMT.

My guess is that the person that Klee traded with was really involved in RMT and Klee got banned as a side-effect.

The question becomes how do they find RM traders? Forum snitches?

I don’t participate but the forum originated as a neopets forum. You would find it easily if you searched it, high profile players have made some trades on there

If you look at the trades and the timing of stuff it’s obvious who is who (g1 imperials, giant g1 lairs, kickstarter Items, booleans, and certain dominance heads)

Someone who is locked and it’s verifiable was a dominance head. They were so vocal about being unfairly locked on tumblr, and typed nearly an identical message on a gem for USD purchasing thread in there. It wasn’t a troll, the profile has been active for about 4 years now

Another locked player was a botter but they were a bit quieter about it. It’s only obvious when you look through their posts, they mention their lair themes and certain builds in the game that align with the locked player coincidentally on the same day that profile said they were banned.
