Because I don't want to lose my well fed bonus by buying them.

If I buy them I have to carefully only buy enough of them at the time to not kill my streak and then go back and keep buying and feeding and repeat.

I personally don't keep many permas in the lair itself so buying too many at once and suddenly I'm under 80%.
