Ironic considering your tone, but you're an example of the people offering the service "out of sheer kindness", as I put it above.

I promise you, no one here is dumb enough to think EVERYTHING is about profit and bargains and favors. We're aware FR is a game people play for fun. EXCEPT it's OP who brought up favors in the first place, i.e. they think the brewer gets the better end of the deal. Which, well, you definitely do not (in your words, "tiny tips in treasure cannot make up for loss of profit").

So, whatever your stance on tipping etiquette, OP DEFINITELY refuses to tip brewers for wrong reasons entirely.
