It's almost the same price as your go-to-accent costs usually, I guess the casual player will think twice whether they really want this or not.

I'm not as excited as most people about this update... I liked having the restrictions of pose. Making perfect dragons hard to find meant I felt more attachment to the ones I did. But whatever, I just won't use it

The site is at least 7 people's full time jobs, there's no way they don't think about money at least a little bit when they decide to release gem stuff.

oh that's cool this was added. i didn't think they ever would. this might even encourage me to continue with G1 projects that i shoved into my hibden, hmmm.

i don't want this for any of my main dragons though, they already have the best poses :>

I'm a little annoyed because I picked my dragons' genders based on the poses I liked better, even though I wanted some of them to be the other gender. Now that it's possible to have both the pose AND gender that I wanted, it makes my dragons feel more imperfect. It's like the eye update where the answer is to just get new dragons, but I'm attached to mine and don't want to replace them.

As someone who's been trying to breed my dream dragon since the new colors came out and just keeps failing..... This isn't going to help me, alas. But I'm glad this is going to make it easier for other people!

Also, a whole batch of my UMAs just sold, which is really nice. I'm (financially) happy with this update in general tbh.

i really like that it isn't just a one time thing. you could actually switch the pose around as much as you want once applied, which can be fun if you're getting bored with a specific pose (maybe you want to try a new accent, or a new outfit looks better on one pose, or your guardian decided to shave their beard, etc.)

i really hope we get an option/scroll/whatever to flip which direction the dragon faces next - there is space next to the pose switch on the options page, so i am hopeful we might get more little things like this!

on a more salty note, i will never understand the arguments that it makes breeding less challenging or makes the game more boring, or whatever. we have control over how challenging or fun we want our breeding projects to be. if you don't want to use this... then don't. your project will just involve a little more work/luck/time to get the specific pose you want, and that's perfectly fine. it's no different than breeding for a specific gene or breed as opposed to just buying a scroll. not to mention, this only benefits people breeding for specific poses (which to be fair, is probably the majority). anyone breeding for dragon pairs is still going to have to breed for the specific sex they need. and they haven't backed off their stance on releasing the scattersights again or eye vials, so we're still stuck with challenging and 'fun' breeding projects for most eye types. and it isn't like it's a free toggle - it cost gems to apply in the first place, and 400 gems isn't a terribly high price, but it still takes a degree of work to get it. i think the effort needed whether breeding for a pose or getting the funds for the scroll are equal enough.

If anything having your dream dragon WITHOUT having to use the pose changer is just another layer of satisfaction when you finally achieve it. Its like actually earning something you want and didnt cheating/shortcut for it. It wont have that pose changed icon on it. So i honestly dont see the big deal..

Yeah, people have been begging for this for YEARS, and ofc they want money but they’re also just doing something a lot of players want and will like. Even if $$ is involved I think it’s cool that the site is doing trans-friendly stuff like this + adding Fiona to the game

HA, I never said that money isnt at least a part of the driving force of the developement of an update. I believe its to a balanced, healthy degree.

I dont think its the degree of accusing them to be "CASH GRABBERS WHO ARE ONLY INTERESTED IN G1 COLLECTOR GEM COWS FUCK THE REST OF US"

We can control every aspect of our dragon down to flipping genders but getting a chance at desired eyes? That’ll be 1kg please by the end of the year.

I realize FR profits off scatter vials being like this.

the dumb thing is the staffs aren't even directly profiting off this.

I mean if they just put scattersight on Marketplace, they will earn so much more money, I don't get why they don't do that

I'd prefer it if you use it towards a pose change scroll, and if you wanted to post the dragon you want to use it on, that would be lovely, but not required.

You can't change their element. And you can get the "desired" eyes with luck and work.
