i really like that it isn't just a one time thing. you could actually switch the pose around as much as you want once applied, which can be fun if you're getting bored with a specific pose (maybe you want to try a new accent, or a new outfit looks better on one pose, or your guardian decided to shave their beard, etc.)
i really hope we get an option/scroll/whatever to flip which direction the dragon faces next - there is space next to the pose switch on the options page, so i am hopeful we might get more little things like this!
on a more salty note, i will never understand the arguments that it makes breeding less challenging or makes the game more boring, or whatever. we have control over how challenging or fun we want our breeding projects to be. if you don't want to use this... then don't. your project will just involve a little more work/luck/time to get the specific pose you want, and that's perfectly fine. it's no different than breeding for a specific gene or breed as opposed to just buying a scroll. not to mention, this only benefits people breeding for specific poses (which to be fair, is probably the majority). anyone breeding for dragon pairs is still going to have to breed for the specific sex they need. and they haven't backed off their stance on releasing the scattersights again or eye vials, so we're still stuck with challenging and 'fun' breeding projects for most eye types. and it isn't like it's a free toggle - it cost gems to apply in the first place, and 400 gems isn't a terribly high price, but it still takes a degree of work to get it. i think the effort needed whether breeding for a pose or getting the funds for the scroll are equal enough.
