I just hate how easy it is to shove them into boxes, and makes them incredibly boring and bland. Goes for everything - Warcraft, Flight Rising, Atla, etc.
I've seen "the fire people have a forge" a hundred times and I cannot tell you how often I saw "wind\air people are cheerful with instruments and music and live on a mountain" before. So difficult to find media that uses elements, especially the four main ones, and not fulfill some boring stereotypes I already become bored of when I was 14 and wrote Super Cool Cringy Fantasy Stories with elemental main characters.

Dodging is now deleted and Coli ascends to the status of a mindless clicker it always was, now just less annoying.

I agree it would be much better if they did that, but I'm not crossing my fingers. Given how they went back on their planned change to AGI when players complained enough about the possibility of one tiny change to the coli mechanics, what makes you think they'd be willing to make the massive, sweeping changes they'd need to? Maybe some other game's dev team could get away with saying "no, really, we're changing our game to overhaul the balance and it's going to be way better when it's done, trust us", but this is the same team who thought it would be "nice" for players to get a "one-time chance to reroll the eyes on an old dragon" with the eye release. This is why I'm skeptical of anything meaningful changing in "Monster Battle" mode, and I'm very pessimistic about what kind of experience the "new" PvP is going to be.

When I'm on the PC I can just use a built in timer. but on my phone or work? No thanks, according to Baldwin my melted item has been sitting there for 2 weeks because I just cba.

Abolutely.I wish coli could be 100% mindless. The little attention I have to pay just reminds me how agonizingly boring is, especially in higher level venues... I've been grinding in FP for fams and god I never wanna touch wasd ever again because of it
