You shouldn't have too long a wait before they're affordable on the AH, though, people will be breeding them exponentially.
It's great, but I do feel that, at least on the female pose, it's really hard to find a primary that doesn't clash weirdly with the neck stripes. Basic and Fade are really the only ones that I'd use. (Moment of silence for Iri(/Shim), which due to the controversy will apparently never never be used on ancients (even though they figured them out for Obelisks/Fathoms).)
I don't think you're wrong. Also got '...are these clouds or tentacles?' vibes from them a bit. It doesn't make me completely not like them, but I'd like them more with more recognizable wings/manes.
It’s not because of controversy - IriShim are hand colored for each color, which is why they’re only on Moderns (since they have to share the same gene options). Ancients don’t get it because it would take too long to do, and Ancients whole purpose was a less intensive work around to allow regular breed releases.
You may be thinking of the IriShim controversy regarding the slightly different styles between the old/new color wheel (new colors have more intense highlights), but that is more so regarding whether staff is ever going to adjust those for consistency like they’ve said.

Well yah except for they do not sound like a new player. Most new players I’ve met who’ve been introduced by someone else or did a bunch of research say so. This one hasn’t. And they have no friendlist.

Quagga can match well with some harlequin colors. Berry harlequin/shadow quagga, maize harlequin/goldenron quagga
I mean being familiar with concepts like G1/G2 is hardly unusual for a new player, "bred thing less valuable" is pretty standard on pet games with a breeding mechanic

Alright be honest. How many people actually buy the super marked up fresh hatchling listings for new breeds? I know the sellers want to recoup the cost of speed hatching and gene-ing (is that a word lmao). Which is valid. However that new hatchling is going to have identical copies of it for cheap in a few weeks. So what's the rush? Is it pure FOMO and the hype from owning the first pair to have that specific combo? How long is that hatchling actually going to sit for? Was it actually worth it to be first? Will it still have been worth it in a few weeks when your hatchlings are selling for a lot less?
Like when I first joined I didn't breed my progens and still haven't because I already understood breeding pet site mechanics and that unbred dragons would be considered "more valuable"
Right I don't understand why some people like to play FR cop and seek out multis, like if they're doing it to inherently benefit in some way that's shitty but I don't see the harm in someone potentially starting from fresh
People definitely buy them. I sold three hatchlings for 500g each on the first day, and they went pretty fast - granted they were fully gened and had good Windy color schemes, which probably contributed. I don’t know if someone would have the same luck trying to sell a fully/mostly basic for like 1kg lol.
But I think it’s definitely hype - when they’re ready to breed again in a month and there’s 1000 other decent Cirri hatchlings on the AH I doubt I’ll be able to get the same amount for them.
That said, I personally wouldn’t buy any myself right now (but that’s mostly because my non-breeding permas are generally G1s.) I typically don’t even get in on profiting off the first day hype, I was just really excited about this pair (and admittedly curious if I could sell them and recoup some of the costs).

i down with calling out potential multi accters for two reasons only
1. theyre being malicious. either bc its a drama person trying to evade their history, or just someone taking advantage of people's generosity (scamming) etc
2. they outted themselves and its funny

I mean to me while it could be someone already familiar with the game I don't have an issue with people who are starting fresh? Like if there's not any weirdly valuable dragons/items clearly being funneled to their account it could just be someone who wanted to start from scratch and I really don't see a reason to care.

If understanding G1/G2 mechanics and having a match progen is sign of multi behavior then I'd be suspicious too because I already understood G1/G2 mechanics from previous pet site experience and I had people telling me on Discord to make my first dragon Obsidian/Obsidian because it's sought after and looks good lol

why would a malicious multi go out of their way to be as public as possible by joining social discord servers and asking for gifts? thats like the easiest and stupidest way to get caught and if they were legit trying to get away with multi-ing they would probably just keep the account secretive and reap the rewards. FR is probably the most active modern petsite out there and between guides and its massive social media presence its really not hard to get caught up to speed on things as a new player.
