For whatever it's worth, they are indeed not the only one who thinks that.
Yes, many achievements are much more difficult, time-comsuming, expensive, or even purely luck-based. (Looking at you, ten-correct-higher/lower-answers-in-a-row. Five-egg nests. Etc.)
But the point is that all of those things are normal, positive, encouraged site behavior. They're all with an eye towards 'winning' the game, if you like.
Progen restore (and, imo worse, 3-month-cooldown-triggering dragon restore) are not positive and not things any player really 'hopes' to 'achieve'. They're meant to be emergency buttons to rescue you from a bad situation (accidental or regretted exalts). The fact that we're being encouraged to use that function unnecessarily, as a lark to get an achievement, feels weird.
(Is there an achievement for the whole 'go idle for three months and get your dragons automatically fed back up when you return' thing? I haven't searched exhaustively, but my guess would be no. Because of course the devs don't want you to need to use that feature. And I don't understand why exalt restore is different.)
