i constantly have fr in 90% and god yes. my first reaction for this update, i mean this in the nicest way possible, is that it looks so fucking ugly

Couldn't agree more. The comments section is genuinely hideous. The "blocky" surroundings of each comment is throwing me off so badly

they had so much feedback on how awful the preview looked and the changes they made only alleviated a little of it OTL

main gripes with the update:

- friend list is now EXTREMELY vertical
- profile comments make my clan profile double the height of other FR pages (if it did so before mb, never noticed until now but its bothering me)
- edit/block/delete/settings/etc button are HUGE, I know its for mobile but surely stuff like that can be changed for mobile only??
- only 3 recent forum posts instead of 5+, more would make the obscenely long profile comments at least look less jarring besides the functionality

I really love the condensed mockup this person did, the (even slight!) changes improve things a lot for me. Hopefully staff listens and does fixes like they did with dragon profiles.

it didn't break anything on my profile, but the profile comments section looks pretty bad. it gives off old neopet / retro style vibes for some reason. the old style was ironically more modern than this...do like the vista thing tho.

Mine seems fine, maybe could use some small adjustments to better fit the bigger space. I have a very simple profile though.

I’m pretty neutral about the update overall. I like the vista (although I feel like that whole box could use some adjustment to not seem so awkward? The way the vista is only on the right side and just weirdly fades into the gray next to it just seems off to me. I think it would flow better if the vista was on the left side and the fade into the gray area wasn’t so jarring) and I like that account activity is off to the side now (I’d prefer to have an option to hide it entirely but this is the next best thing I guess. That’s more of an account privacy issue for me, along with wanting to turn off comments and friend requests). 3/5 for me.

No, but I'll need to fix the appearance with stylus like I did with dragon profiles, even out the color backgrounds, fix opacity, hide unnecessary texts and buttons, you know, the usual things you do after a 'modernization' update...

It didn't break anything, but I don't like how it looks and I think it could use some work.

I'm taking solace in the fact that staff has stated that they're still planning for a clan profile revamp, so chances are they didn't put as much effort into making it look nice because it was kind of secondary to the main goal, which was just refactoring it.

Yes, my heart, because they didn't do the single tiny thing that could have made a huge difference in QOL (the pic of your avatar dragon linking to your avatar dragon).

broke nothing for me but it is SO fucking ugly. old version felt like it had more room for customization, this just feels.. cramped
