Another ember here. I had stocked up on fodder for this push but after these last days and honestly last month of AA barely doing anything about the feedback they've been given I might not even exalt this week.
They few people that seemed to try hard for AA have either now left or are not given enough credit or help from the others.
This push seems so very unorganized.
Of course people have lives outside of this game but if you've taken on an assignment to be the Dom team then you should do so. And if you need a break then just say so. People will get that.
But honestly I kinda hope someone else takes Dom this week because maybe then AA will listen to what Fire Flight have been screaming.
Also a fire flighter here. I completely agree with this.
This push is probably the most disorganized and unprepared dom “effort” I’ve ever seen. Some sheets aren’t linked on the event pages, a sheet from a previous event a month ago hasn’t been cleared for the rerun, the raffles are pretty bad, and the payouts suck. Seriously, what were we doing all those profit pushes for if we’re only gonna pay the low end of exalt payout for a raffle with already garbage prizes.
I love almost every other aspect of fire but the dom team. The community (majority of the AA excluded) is amazing and the lore is great, plus we get some pretty cool apparel and eyes. However the dom aspect has just kept getting worse and despite all the things that make me want to stay, the AA makes me want to pack my bags and leave.
Speaking of lore, you guys probably know about the conflict with the forgemasters in fire’s lore. Well, that’s what it sometimes feels like for us embers trying to discuss basically anything with the AA. Trying to get an issue solved sometimes feels like pulling teeth. Suggestions often go either unheard or barely get any AA support at all, and thus don’t happen. Not to mention the general attitude of a lot of the AA makes them hard to approach with ideas and has led to newer members of the AA quitting due to the rudeness and unwillingness to change. They’ve also been known to pop into someone’s DMs two days before an event to demand art or a fancy spreadsheet with no prior warning as if that person doesn’t have a life outside of FR, then constantly cite their own real life events to explain why something wasn’t ready in time despite having weeks or months to prep. Oh and did I mention they don’t always give credit to people involved in making a sheet and/or running an event? Because they don’t.
As above user said, unlikely as it is to happen, I really REALLY hope some other flight takes dom during FF because at this point, I don’t know what else would get the message through to the AA. Btw, I think some of the other flights have a real good shot at beating Fire for FF. Fire’s lost several really hard hitters already due to the issues I mentioned above, so kicking our asses shouldn’t be that hard.
