fuck! the old discord was bad! There was a lot of crap that was rug swept. art theft, harassment about g1's, XXX art in the non XXX thread, ppl being told to kill themselves, jokes about someone getting r'ed, users who should have been banned never getting banned, people oversharing in the vents thread, the certain users trying to relate anything to politics to pick a fight was the worst for me. someone posted about the new hatchlings they had and this user would pop in and be like it sucks that fr doesn't have an abortion scroll or button in case you didn't want those dragons hated them so much
the fire only discord is really different though it is a bit quieter but it also feels like a very safe place. mods (multiple mods too) are active and respond quickly. the dm's of the mods are open too which is really nice? like I enjoy being able to reach out to them. ALL the mods are active in the new server not like the old one where 8 people can ping the same and not get any sort of response for 2+ days.
in the old one we sort of self mod where we ran the one who made the r'ed jokes out of the server. need more of the new mods energy in dom too
it was super funny though. new fire only server made to make a safe place for everything, dragon sharing/lore shares, whatever. no one on the aa with the bank funds joined the new server. none of us know the drama that tipped the mods of the new server over an edge but they tipped and i love them for it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
glad i will be back at school for FF though the ping for raffle attendants went out earlier today. we haven't had any organized effort to store leveled fodder and the aa is treating it like a profit push like we do EVERY festival. i have 25 spots but i can grind a lot...but i have no where to put the dragons.

There shouldn't be. I heard one of the Flights - Light maybe? - got theirs temporarily pulled over that. Mods come down hard on linking servers with nsfw channels.
the thought of wanting to share NSFW in a general FR discord is so foreign to me. the 2 FR discords im in are constant reminders of FR's age requirement cause it's always kids being mildly annoying about something or other. why would u wanna upload tits and balls there lmfaooooo
Yikes bro... If the first Fire server is advertised somewhere on FR itself and it has a NSFW channel, that's flat out against the rules. If you're going to advertise a server on FR, it can only have content that would be allowed on FR itself, and a porn channel... ain't that.
The new Fire Server legit saved Fire from being the worst flight for me. Mods that are active, that care, that talk to their flight, and make the effort to keep everyone updated on events - in and out of flight. The mods in the new server have really made it a wonderful place.
To compare to the old Fire server, there was one player that gifted me a rather expensive item that I never asked for and never wanted. They said, they told me, I could sell it for something else I wanted. This was done publicly on the server. I sold the item in order to obtain something I did want and proceeded to be dragged through the mud both in DMs and in the server for "breaking the trust" of this player.
I bit my tongue about it so as not to cause drama for months until I found out this player was doing this to others as well. So I sent the screenshots of the evidence to hopefully get this player removed from the server. The Dom Lead, who doubles as our ONLY active mod in the old server, decided that the screenshots of evidence were not solid enough to give them the boot. Our Dom Lead didn't care that this was an issue, that there were screenshots from within the server of me going through this. It took our only other mod (who is primarily inactive) to kick that player out.
This is just one example of how little our Dom Lead cares about their own Flight. The Anon above me hits more of what else the lead just conveniently ignores. I'll say, if our Lead is busy with real life, own up to that and step down to let someone else take the reigns. There are still minors who play this game and if you cannot be responsible for properly moderating a server, you should not have that position of power. For Heaven's sake, a player joked to a pregnant player about they should lose their baby. What happened? The FLIGHT- the player base- had to step in with that mess.
Fire Dom has so many problems and it starts from the top.
I know which player you're talking about. They found out I was saving for this G1 and I was SO close to buying it. I only has 150g left. Well they bought the dragon 'for me' but paid more than what I was going to pay for the dragon. They bragged about how much they spent on the dragon to everyone and kept asking how I was looking after the dragon. They wanted me to make it a Banescale because that's their favorite breed and that's the breed the dragon should be since THEY bought it for me. They also tried to pick out the genes I used for it as well.
I got sick of it and gave the dragon to a friend and sent the user what they'd paid on the dragon so it could just end there and be done. No more harassment, dragon isn't with me and I paid them what they bragged they bought the dragon for right?

I was cruel for re-selling the dragon, how could I do this with a gift they gifted to me, didn't I have any respect for them. 'Oh I know who I won't be gifting this dragon to! Not after the last time!'

It happened in PM's on discord when I stopped posting and then she got upset I blocked her on FR. She complained to people that I had taken a gift dragon, 'resold it' and blocked her. Always left out that I paid her 5kg when I was only going to buy the dragon for 2.5kg because she offered the seller 2x what we had agreed on.
I don't post dragons I'm interested in now unless I own them and are fully gened which bothers me because I like sharing the evolution of the dragons as I get them. That user ruined sharing dragons for me. Being told I sound ungrateful by the mod ruined fire for me.

They randomly DMed me about my BSJ submission saying “Oh I love your BSJ submission but it will never win because the colors are too dark- love your art though!” or something along those lines, very passive aggressive. (I submitted it btw and I got it back first try with no denial for me to fix the apparent “dark areas”).
They also were passive aggressive towards me about a particular special ID dragon. Had very few digits, and I personally as an ID collector, love dragons with special IDs like that. They mentioned they were looking to give them to a good home, I naturally asked about it, and got shut down with “only to people who i trust *squinting eye discord emoji*”. The fuck? Why fucking post it then lmfao. Apparently this person makes people go out of their way to gain their “trust” and shit from what i’ve heard- so these posts don’t sound too far off from this person.
To keep it short: Ik who you are talking about and they are bad vibes all around. I’m glad they are not in the OOF Fire Discord anymore and if they pop up anywhere else I am punting them far away from me.
Fire Discord has a loot share where people can share what they got that day. It can be dragons, apparel, sold auctions, accents, everything. I showed off that I bought 2 will o' the ember's because I'd saved up enough for them. I had been working on getting them and got some good tips from other users on the server so I posted the screen shot of the 'purchased will o' the ember's' and I was excited. They were playing when the embers were released and had been prior to that too. I found out she had played for far longer than I had in that moment because she decided to brag about the collection of embers and how cheap they were when they first came out. She can't believe how much I paid for them and that was a mistake right? Could I get a refund? and she laughed at me.
I was 2 months into the game at that point. I moved to a new flight and then a few months later she moved to my new flight. So I'm waiting to see if I can't move to get away from her again or if I should just restart with a new account somewhere else. This sucks. I don't want to be involved in flight activities because I don't want to cross her path again. I moved to get away from her and she followed!!
what the fuck. While looking through this thread I had decided to block the person, but this is someone I've been friends with for years. I'm not trying to question anyone's honesty at all, but it's really difficult to hear and believe this kind of thing about someone I've known for so long. Again, to reiterate, I am not saying this person is innocent, only that it's difficult for me personally to wrap my head around since I've known them for so long. I know it sounds like this is old drama, but does anyone have screenshots/other proof of any of these incidents?
I have a screenshot of Lucara about the BSJ submission I made- and I could probably dig around for the other stuff. Only issue is I wish to be kept anonymous lol.
By the nature of it being about a BSJ submission I don't think there's any way to be perfectly anonymous. I'd be happy to set up a google form that you could submit image URLs to that only I would see, or give you my FR/discord to do the same, but I can't really think of any way to stay fully and completely anonymous. (I'd also rather not publicly post my discord honestly, though I'd be fine with DMing it through the site or something similar.)
Totally up to you on whether you're comfortable with it; I don't want to force anyone out of their comfort zone.
They might move to Earth next as they tend to target “wealthy” flights so they can rub their wealth in everyone’s face but also get free stuff in return. They joined the Earth Flight public server for all flights and jokingly threatened that “no one’s wishlist is safe.”

Lucara, whether they know they’re doing it deliberately or not, puts others down to build themselves up. They brag about how they gift others, when the people they gift are only given those things to do exactly what they want, without always telling them.
However, Lucara doesn’t hold themselves to their same standards. They participated in an auction to get some level 25s. This auction was set up in particular for users who don’t have level 25s-— Lucara has 200 level 25s (we’ll come back to this in a second) —-and they bid/purchase a a couple from the lot. 4 out of 8 iirc(?)
They talked publicly how they loved the dragons, only to immediately flip them for 300g the moment they came into the lair. The original owner and leveler saw this, bought them back and sold them again for a higher price. However, this was the straw that broke the camel’s back as Lucara had once proclaimed to be making an event that gave away level 25s to newer players and they needed help leveling dragons. A few players stepped up and leveled all of the dragons they requested - I believe 25 in total but I could be wrong.
They have still, to this day, never run that event and they have no interest in doing so. They took free labor from Fire Flight players who were willing to help and proceeded to add it all to the collection.
I do not have screenshots of these events as I have since left the Flight, so if anyone in Fire also witnessed this, please share!
Some people don't value light sprites, so the lack of one isn't exactly a great indicator of lack of wealth. At bare minimum, they have "over 500+" Will o' the Embers, which are about 1kg according to LAH atm, so that's ~500kg in assets (not that they'll ever sell them). Assets isn't the same as liquid, but even if you only count a fraction of that, it's still far more than a light sprite is worth, and that's without anything that they've got on dragons, in their hoard/vault, etc.
i kinda want to know what the end result of said oversharing was, but i wouldn't be surprised if nothing actually happened because the people with moderation powers are never around.
