Lucara, whether they know they’re doing it deliberately or not, puts others down to build themselves up. They brag about how they gift others, when the people they gift are only given those things to do exactly what they want, without always telling them.
However, Lucara doesn’t hold themselves to their same standards. They participated in an auction to get some level 25s. This auction was set up in particular for users who don’t have level 25s-— Lucara has 200 level 25s (we’ll come back to this in a second) —-and they bid/purchase a a couple from the lot. 4 out of 8 iirc(?)
They talked publicly how they loved the dragons, only to immediately flip them for 300g the moment they came into the lair. The original owner and leveler saw this, bought them back and sold them again for a higher price. However, this was the straw that broke the camel’s back as Lucara had once proclaimed to be making an event that gave away level 25s to newer players and they needed help leveling dragons. A few players stepped up and leveled all of the dragons they requested - I believe 25 in total but I could be wrong.
They have still, to this day, never run that event and they have no interest in doing so. They took free labor from Fire Flight players who were willing to help and proceeded to add it all to the collection.
I do not have screenshots of these events as I have since left the Flight, so if anyone in Fire also witnessed this, please share!

By the nature of it being about a BSJ submission I don't think there's any way to be perfectly anonymous. I'd be happy to set up a google form that you could submit image URLs to that only I would see, or give you my FR/discord to do the same, but I can't really think of any way to stay fully and completely anonymous. (I'd also rather not publicly post my discord honestly, though I'd be fine with DMing it through the site or something similar.)

Is Lucara even that wealthy? They say they don't even have a Light Sprite
Some people don't value light sprites, so the lack of one isn't exactly a great indicator of lack of wealth. At bare minimum, they have "over 500+" Will o' the Embers, which are about 1kg according to LAH atm, so that's ~500kg in assets (not that they'll ever sell them). Assets isn't the same as liquid, but even if you only count a fraction of that, it's still far more than a light sprite is worth, and that's without anything that they've got on dragons, in their hoard/vault, etc.
Jesus, that's really the dumbest shit. I don't think I know of ANY flight that's ever been so poorly prepared.

Not the above nonny but a very worried member of fire. We don't know anything that's going into the oof raffle or any events. Some asked for help on a thread that was set up for FF prep but it never got any traction? I am really worried that tonight's reveal is going to be awful. I tried to reach out to an AA member and was told 'We have it handled, don't worry about it.'

I just have a pit of anxiety in my stomach that this is going to be terrible. We don't have good raffle coverage either so it's going to be up to a handful of people to do it.

I know a lot of Fire peeps are sitting in a VC together fretting over the OOF Raffle that hasn't been revealed to any of us. We started school this week so we can't help out a whole lot but we are planning on buying fodder and exalting it off the AH? ? ? Will a handful of fodder a day even help us win dom? It feels like the AA have things together but there is just no communication and it makes me feel uncomfortable.

In my flight users could like, stalk the raffle inventory spreadsheet to see what's been assigned to upcoming raffles if they wanted to, I guess? So the info is available but not broadcasted or advertised by the team. I don't think anyone really looks because it's not like we can win the OOF prizes anyway.
same here, this is surreal to hear that fire doesn't have this option. i always like donating a few items our dom team has logged as "wanted" for their OOF raffles. bizarre to think that this isnt a priority?

Ember here! We did not have any input on the OOFR. The way the prizes are set up is bizarre. I don't know why the fire sprite is hidden almost 20 prizes in. The IFR isn't any better. I wanted to try and talk with the AA but I just don't care anymore. They don't take any criticism, they don't tell us where the items we donated go. I know earth isn't trying to be on top but I don't know if Fire's going to GET this fest unless something changes.

same here. this isn't worth the hassle of manually writing down usernames, waiting for pickup and only getting a few coins for profit (or none at all if you send for raffle!). might as well just exalt these dragons myself lmao

I thought that "10500/L7" was a misclick, went to check and it wasn't??? Average payout for a L7 is 11250, so I could imagine rounding down to 11000, but all prices are about 1kt below average exalt payout. The raffle prices are quite obviously meant to make significant money for Fire('s dom team) - even assuming the absolute low number of 10k dragons in OOFR (and most raffles tend to get more), that's at least 10 million of outright profit. Why do these idiots even have a public buy in a fest push, did they imagine that raffle profit will cover the buy's loss? Wow. Fuck them.

Honest to god I hope they get so far behind Earth that mid-week the AA has to bust their asses to compensate. This is just pathetic.

So the AA's plan is just that, to make profit for not only the PB but also from the raffle and the guilt people will feel when Fire doesn't get on top of Earth. The AA doesn't want to lose any funds.
The person from the AA who is on right now is trying SO hard but isn't one of the main bank holders. This user is trying to run a Blitz, but with most of the heavy hitters recently switching, a bunch of the regulars going to first/second week of school there just aren't participants. The OOF Raffle looks a lot better than the IF Raffle looks to me so there isn't a huge desire to help. I feel bad for the Blitz runner because they're trying but the lack of prep just nuked us.
Fire's dom is terminal and it doesn't look like we have any chance. People don't want to exalt at a loss for the raffle or wait for 1hr+ for the PB. It's just not going to happen.

the thing is there are so many FF events! there is fest/dom enthusiasm visible to me from inf people but it doesn't seem to affect week to week placings. Running more like PB in off weeks with like 8.5kt level 5s (and maybe gem payouts) would probably meshed with that enthusiasm get more actual 1s or 2nds.
even things like "here flight is the inf/oof raffle, help me sort it or spellcheck things or name packs w flight puns" can really motivate people.
asking for help can feel like "we're a dom team we should be able to do this ourselves" but that's a trap leading to dom leader burnout.

If that member trying to Blitz is who I think it is, I know them from elsewhere and they're legitimately trying very hard to get Fire Dom to at the very least be functional. Breaks my heart knowing they're seemingly fighting a losing battle :/
