Another droplet here. If you like events and helping, water is good for that, and anyone can get involved. And even if it's just a vacation, we don't mind. While you're in water, you're one of us. Hell, some of our vacationers never leave.
And our Dom bank is actually willing to use our funds for things and not hoard/hide it.
I'm not super involved with dom, but Light seems to be pretty friendly and on the ball with it, even if we're not the unstoppable powerhouse of a few years back.
True MVP Anon - I would blur out the reactions though, in case any AA or Fire members find this. Even if you didn't react to anything, best to keep yourself as anonymous as possible.
Dang.... i feel bad for Fire nonnies, this attitude by the leads is....sad, tbh. on the one hand it feels like they're clearly out of their depth and they know it, on the other hand they're also being pretty passive aggressive about certain things and their pretending to not know it is...pretty obvious. "who, me? i'm not being passive aggressive" *innocent face emoji* like c'mon.
fuck im getting secondhand embarrassment from reading these. someone brings up valid criticism in private chats, nothing changes, and then when they bring it public the only thing the literal leaders can say is that theyre being RUDE?
I had originally thought about Wind for a vacation - just really enjoy their whole vibe. But I could try out Water! Sounds like a good vacation spot. Unsure when I'd be able to take the vacation, but might try.
I hate Fire Flight because their dominance team sucks and their Medicine Cat is terrible. I do think they have a good grasp on air and water though.
I preferences would be to go with air or water. Though I give credit where its due- Fire Flight has done a great job with acquiring and training dragons in the lost art of fire.
"Would you prefer to be pinged for attendant stuff like a week ahead?"
Um, yes??? That's how literally every other flight does it -- if not even farther ahead? Give people time to make plans and shit. Like as someone who's planned life stuff around that kind of thing before, the more time in advance you give people, the better it's gonna go for them.
Yo try watching this unfold in real time. wanted to bash my head in. Love my flight with one brain cell between the dom leads. Back reading this mess in the discord like yikes. and wow! we've had this exact discussion like how many times?
tbf, overthrowing/firing dom teams just isn't doable. Even back when JonTawhatever/JonSnOwO was at the pinnacle of his shittiest plague dom form, when people floated the idea of someone else trying to take over and make a second dom organization, the feedback was overwhelmingly negative about it.
a small group of people just needs to like... go for it. but finding those people, getting them to commit, and raising funds would be the hard part. a bunch of stars need to align correctly for it to be pulled off but if it did... whew, that'd be something.
someone on tumblr was smart enough to screenshot the whole thread, including page 3. enjoy.
there's also a wayback machine link (linking to the post for "credit," though it looks to be a burner account) https://taijin.tumblr.com/post/693346736437100544/holy-shit-quick-someone-archive-the-fire-dom

I'm so glad these screenshots exist, because I was too late to see the original thread. The wild personal attacks did not disappoint lol.
One thing that I think will always frustrate me is when someone lays out an explanation of a problem and their concerns, and the response is "well why didn't you bring this up privately, you're just being rude by making your case in public!" The problem is not that someone decided to speak up, especially when they were so articulate and provided plenty of details. The problem is that people DID bring this stuff up in more private venues, multiple times, and it didn't solve anything. At this point people outside the flight deserve to know, and you could hardly ask for a better explanation of the issues.
Re: Spreading like Fire: https://imgur.com/a/WGthff3
personally, I don't think people outside the flight "deserve" (or even necessarily should) know.
but i suspect that's not really the point. the point is probably to force the conversation in a way where it CAN'T simply be brushed aside or ignored... because it sounds like that's what had been happening. over and over and over again, in fact.
